Subject: RE: Team #3 - August 4 is More ChallengeCaught up on the spreadsheet. Not getting in enough runs, but doing WAY more backpacking than planned, and my poor knees can't take any more. Rode 20 miles today!!! 10.2 to a work meeting, 10.2 home. The ride there, I was holding a good strong pace (for me, somewhere approaching 17 mph ) until I had to stop for freakin' construction. At the bottom of the hill, no less! Grrr! Blew myself out trying to get up the hill quickly and had to take a loooooong time to recover. The ride back was pretty painful - slow, several stops, grinding, but it was also nice to just ride. My eval went...shockingly well! Like totally-out-of-nowhere well. Hey, I'm all for that! The raise is ncely timed, too.  |
