Can someone recommend a series for an 11 year old boy. He just finished the Legends of the Guardians series. He loved it, but he has always had a thing for owls. He has read the Harry Potter Books, The Chronicles of Narnia, and the Percy Jackson books. He prefers series over just a single book. He is asking me for something to read, and I don't want to turn down that request.
Bet Kendra could help you here! The Hunger Games is really good. Neal said the other series that author wrote is good as well...but I'm not sure what it is called anymore. I couldn't put The Hunger Games down! There is a new series by the Rick Riordan guy that wrote Percy Jackson. Neal could probably help you out too. He's got all sorts of those series up his sleeve! Haha. |

I will have to look up the Hunger Games, thanks! |

Good morning! Check out the Artemis Fowle series by Eoin Colfer. They're pretty good and I think there are 5-6 books so far (I know we own 5). Another decent series are the Pendragon books, but check the reviews to make sure you think they're age-appropriate for your son. Garrett was about 11-12 when he first read them and did fine, fwiw. |

Apparently this pic was about the 10th try and was heavily treat-induced. Gotta love being married to a former photographer, because I would NOT have had that kind of patience! Great shot. How fun to have two buddies. Hope they are helping your wife. That is way cool about the Masters degree. That will be great, though I have absolutely no knowledge of what your degree is all about. Neither do I! Just kidding, although I do admit it will be a very steep learning curve as it'll be much more technical than anything I've done so far. Hopefully admissions will give me the chance... And yes, the puppies are a big help. Ruby likes to be the boss, but they're learning to get along pretty well. |
