Just a word of advice from someone who has just gone through this. When it is feeling good give it at least a week before speed work and then only one day a week for a couple of weeks. Still try to avoid steep hills, up or down. The Achilles takes a while to heal. Way to stay at it smartly too.
Yeah, I am trying to rebuild slowly. Last week, my mileage went 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 4, 6 for a total of 25. I could feel maybe a little more strain this morning after doing 6 yesterday, so I know I am not back fully yet. I haven't done any increased speed work at all yet, and based on the little bit of ache I felt this morning, I am not going to touch that this week yet, either.
