#473- a bit over 4 miles in 30 minutes after 70 minutes on the bike.
dear god, man, I have no idea how you can do that on the treadmill. Granted, I have no idea how anyone is that fast anyways, but...
Wednesday - #192 - 6 miles
Since I've lowered my volume of running, I've tried to up the intensity. Been getting 1 good day of speedwork in, and one solid threshold run weekly. That and the bike focus at threshold pace is helping I think.
I've been doing 3 x 1 mile with 2 minute rest, and last week was at 9.0, 9.5, then 10 mph, so I was feeling good and figured I would try to break 20 min and paced at 9.4 mph. Also, I've been focusing on not overstriding, which is pretty easy to do on the treadmill if you run right up against it. And also on my cadence, trying for 180/min, 1 second for every third step.
Over the last few weeks, I've actually enjoyed my treadmill workouts, and I do feel that they have helped my running overall.
I did decide on the HIM instead of the marathon, and got that coming up in 12 weeks, so I have to start working on building my long run up again.
#474- 2 miles after decent swim session.
