It was a busy weekend...

Saturday I went down and rode with Bike Boy

Sunday I road with the Tri girls and Cycle Guy turned up...

Im pretty much convinced there is nothing there now which is good as I can just accept it and get moving along! We were alone waiting for a coffee for awhile and it was just easy relaxed company but nothing else...  

Aaaw as long as they know thats what it is then Im sure it will all be fine! Tiredness makes everything so hard

Nope two different guys:

Bike Boy: Longterm friend who has been around since I bought my bike

Cycle Guy: Work colleague who I found out a few months ago has been a seriously good cyclist (semi pro level) and who has been helping me with the triathlon girls stuff

hehe so thats where you have been....

But then she couldnt talk about him...

Its ok - not like I make it simple!!! I just dont mention their names as Im not sure I would want someone talking about me by name on a public site!

Okay, here is a fairly typical conversation with Dave.   part way into it, other stuff pulled out

 me:  got it-I hadn't read the first half dozen comments yet

 me:  that doesn't always work with forums...when you are 1000 posts in
 David:  yeah i'm not sure how people can keep those things straight
 me:  If you spend much time on any one thread you get a general idea of what the conversations will entail.  periodically a summary will go up-you can always request that someone updates you rather than trying to go through a couple of hundred posts that popped up in the last 24 hours.  But that doesn't happen that often...unless you're on tan
 me:  Tan can go through 20+ pages on a active day-that is more than 500 posts.
 David:  that's why i'm stuck at "expert."  I have not mastered the forum chat
 me:  Most definately
 David:  so i think next week i will have an address
and the bike can go there
 me:  I am number 50 in post count (but that doesn't include those who hide their counts)
 me:  you are number 456...you only need to pass up 406 other users and you will be right behind me.

The majority of the people in the top 100 have been around for 3 plus years.

I think that would take the least amount of effort
There has to be a field that has the number of posts
Wait, first i would do some experiments to see how the post count works

 David:  so like, if i make a post, can i delete it?  and if i delete it does the post count go down again
no one would know i did it
 me:  Can't delete a post-only admin can
 David:  because i would bribe you with 15,000 posts to keep your mouth shut
okay, so i would make a really offensive post
so an admin would delete it
and then i can see what happens
i'd be like "women can't do triathlons!"

 me:  and they get on ghost accounts really quickly
 David:  see, so i'd have a legitimate, although trolly, argument, so then it's only slightly offensive.
 me:  I have seen a couple come and go over the course of an afternoon.
 David:  The perfect amount of offense.
what's a ghost account?
 me:  someone creates a new account just so they can run around insulting people and making a ruckus

haha love the random conversation - I have a few friends Ive had convos like that with...funny it just reminds me of an interesting brainstorming day in Nibbs....

Wonder if anyone else remembers the BT Calendar/Diary concept we were brainstorming in December-ish last year!

What flavour?

Most of the conversations tend to wander all over the place...there was a secondary conversation the was relevant, but it was mostly before and after with a few comments scattered through the rest.

Coconut...it feels exactly the same on the palate as a really good ice cream.
