Brenda's first bike split comes in at 19.1mph after 22 miles.

Dirk finished the bike!  21.4 mph ave.  Looks like he left T2 7th AG.

No bike split for Jo yet.  First one comes at 56 miles.

Dirk's first 4 miles of the run came in at 7:59 pace.  Anyone know what his goal is?

X2 for the postings, I am unable to see them and it's great to have the updates! As for the goal I'm not sure Dirk ever posted one! I know he said he wanted to hold steady until mile 8 and then try to go from there!

Oh!  Brenda is off the bike!  She went from 22nd in her AG on the swim to 9th after the bike!  She averaged 18.4mph (3:02)

The run splits seem to be off, as now it's showing Dirk ran a 5:40 pace for the next segment, and is showing 5:xx for most of the other top guys in his age group... But what's cool about the rev3 timing is that it shows the AG/gender/OA placing after each split.  So for Dirk it showed he was 7th AG at the start of the run, 8th after the first run split, and back to 7th after the second split.  I'd say it looks like he's hanging in there!

Yes thanks for the updates!! I've been gone all morning helping out at a local HM/5k race in town. I made it to 8:30 mass but then could only stand to make it through half the service because I knew my good friend was battling for 1st in the HM and finishing any minute. Now I have to pray for forgiveness for leaving church early I guess . At least I was there long enough to say a prayer for all the Junkies racing today!

Tracy I hope your little guy is feeling better soon and everything went ok for the race!

Man just back from the swim and I missed alot. Dirk is smoking it on his run he is more then halfway thru it. I think he's at 4:04 overall. He could finish in under 5 hours. Brenda looks like she has started the run. Yeah still no update on JoAnne gotta wait until she hits mile 56. So far so good.

So I'm thinking we should be seeing a split for Jo very soon! I hope the little sickness she was encountering yesterday isn't providing any issues today!!!

...or maybe not.  From the main forum it seems like there's a MASSIVE delay!  Sounds like it could even be close to/over an hour!

KathyG - 2012-09-09 1:41 PM

It appears IMlive isn't working well. Both Suzy and Laura have gone past 56 mile split per their athlete tracker and they don't have splits on IM Live.

Suzy is at mile 64 and averaging 19 mph per Athlete Tracker

Laura is at at mile 71.82 and averaging 19.4 mph per Athlete Tracker

Go BTers!!!!

Well that explains it, it seemed like it took forever for Jo's swim time to be posted. Brenda is beyond 4 miles into the run now as they posted her first run split. I hope they get the IM athlete tracker fixed!

Brenda is doing great she is 7.7 miles in and is at 5:09 overall. She's getting closer to finishing. Still no word on JoAnne, I wonder if it's becasue 70.3 Vegas world championships is going on as well. Must be slowing everything down with everyone checking in.

They finally posted JoAnne's first bike split at 56 miles it was a 4:02. That is a good sign she's out there and moving she still has plenty of time to make the cutoff. Go JoAnne!

I saw that too! Go JoAnne!!!!!

A local athlete in my age group, always fighting for overall wins, this is her first IM has put together a strong race so far - 1:09 swim and averaged over 20 mph for the first 56 miles of the bike. I can thank her for being so fast, taking 1st or 2nd overall and leaving me some age group scraps . There are 4 local athletes that I race with attempting IM Wisconsin today!

She tore up the bike course with a 19 mph average for 112 miles. Holy Smokes, hope she left something in the tank for the run. I'm not sure she has a lot of marathon experience.

Guess I better get up and do something besides sit in front of the computer for a while!

That bike course is very tough and very technical. Most people underestimate the bike course and pay for it on the run. She killed it on the bike course I hope she has something left for the run. The good news is the run course is flat except for miles 8 and 18 so she may be in good shape.
