calimavs - 2010-12-06 11:12 AM Thanks Ken! I'll write up a race report soon and post a link to it here. The short version that is that the race was the hardest thing I've ever done but so rewarding!

Congratulations on such a big accomplishment. Someday when I grow up I'll do a full marathon. Can't wait to read your race report.

I also have been a victim of the cold/chest congestion thing. It's been almost two weeks now but I also think I've turned the corner.

First week of 1/2 IM training went well. 24+ miles of running and 60+ miles on the bike. Swimming was low but I'll get that figured out.

Hope everyone is enjoying their off-season.

Didn't do too much last week;  I had a toothache.  Probably one of the most painful experiences of my life.  I was on Vicodin and antibiotics last week until it got ripped out.  It was a visible tooth so there was no way I was getting it pulled without a replacement.

Training didn't seem all that important, and I'm slowly coming back.

Yikes! That sounds horrible. Glad you are on the mend, definitely take your time getting back into training.

If anyone wants to read my marathon race report here is the direct link to it. If anyone has any insight on the whole sensory overload thing I experienced I'd love to hear about it since it threw me for a loop on race day.
