On the note of children....  always wanted three... hubby convinced me of the fact that YES more than two and your outnumbered...  not to mention at three I'd probably become a SAH mom... which I know I'd fail at due to less money and the fact I'd actually be expected to clean house, HAH!!!

Though I really wanted a girl... well at least I have Soleil, our 103lb Akita/Lab mix, and she likes to run, for the most part...

He's obviously giving you the chance to do a monster swim workout in the wave pool.  How thoughtful

I'm having an affair with Marie, and Mooch and I tend to raise a little too much hell.  Bikes are sinister machines.  Running just makes and honest man or woman out of you.

YES!  See, this is my point exactly... it's why I love cycling and running?  That's just silly .

I think you should just refer to Marie as "The Mistress", Bill.  It works on a few different levels .

Wine....Whine.... yep I needed both last night....
I've hit a state of small depression.... I haven't been working out enough lately, Amy and I discovered that yesterday with a VERY POOR training experience (staple in rear tire, too hot to even TRY to run - for me at least, and a great dane that wasn't on leash - so we turned short of the course)...

Then to make matters worse on my way home I was debating showering before picking up the boys and bringing them to get new shoes.... I realized that I was running later than I'd hoped and got sidetracked in thoughts.. and BAM!!!  I ran my bike into my house while racked on my car!!!!

Yes.  I think I need a vaca....   Weepy

So does my situation from yesterday mean that I'm contributing to an abbusive relationship?

Oh no!  So sorry, sounds like a tough day.  I feel certain that when you have to cut training short due to a million "this isn't going to go your way" signs like staples, heat and Cujo, it's important to make up for it.  No, not by another workout silly... I hope you and Amy grabbed a cup of coffee or something afterwards  and that you can giggle just a little bit about the "if it could go wrong it did" string of events!

Yeah, we went to the gas station and got a couple of slurpies, then went drive the run course.  Funny, Cujo had disappeared.  Probably a good thing, 'cause now I'm thinking it might be rather impt to paper the neighborhood with race notices.  I'd hate for the lead runner to get chased down and bit by a dog.

If cycling is the dark side, just call me Mrs. Vader The Olympics have really cut into my Nibbs and training time. I am glued to the tv set! I did get my workouts in today, though. Very good swim and quite the enjoyable run! Did you feel that? The world suddenly tilted on its axis

I always wanted three kids, also. Hubby kind of took it out of my hands by informing me that he had made an appointment for a certain procedure when DD was only 6 months old. I think it was for the best. I feel one step away from insanity with the two of them, let alone throw another strong personality into the mix. I have the boy and the girl. My experience with this so far is that boys=noise, girls=drama. I am for the most part a SAHM but I still don't clean house (except when company is coming).

I am debating whether tomorrow, which is my regular day off, if I should do a single speed century, or run 10 miles and then bike 40-50. I do have a 10 mile race coming up on 9/7 and a half marathon on 10/5. My heart says 'do the ride' but its going to be near 100 again tomorrow... I'd have to leave at first light to not cook. My brain says "do the run and a sensible ride" so that I have my weekend free for fun rather than figuring out when I'm going to sandwich in a 10 mile run.

Considering the temperatures you are supposed to have, I would run and do a reasonable bike ride. Then you can relax over the weekend regarding your training.

Sorry about the drive by earlier w/o saying hello but I was shocked that someone thought (I will learn how to type next week) cycling was evil

Hope everyone is having a good day - I am - 4 day weekend this weekend, my daughter is in Guys n Dolls jr tonight - I have a triathlon Sunday - I don't have to work in the kitchen - Tell me to stop anytime now!

We meant evil in the most delightful way .  Trust me, I loooooove to ride my pretty bike so much that it's, uhhh, pretty much all I do.

Sounds like a fabulous weekend on tap!
