Of all the nice things about training, and there are many, this one is near the top of my list too. Laughing

blujay65 - 2009-06-04 1:01 PM I just had a fried shrimp po-boy... Oh lordy, it was like a little piece of heaven!

Mmmm, I love shrimp po-boys!  I could do without the pickle and ketchup chips, but when you bring out the shrimp po-boys, I start salivating.

Got to run nearly 5 miles today.  The weather was much better so I ran a little longer to compensate for walking I had to do Tuesday.

Rain and 68 degrees.  Perfect running weather.  Short 3.4 mile run before I had to pick up the boys.  Now it's time for a few ICB's and some basketball!  Go Magic!

I biked today, will probably not run again until Saturday since I want to swim tomorrow. It's hard to train with very young kids! But have no fear, I will make my goal for sure.

Big congratulations to Stacie, who passed her big certification test!! Routers what?! Tongue out

I went running tonight after it rained, humidity was horrible, and I swallowed a bug that tickled my thorat..cut my run 2.7 miles shorter than I wanted to so I could get some water to wash the insect away...Than God Blessed me with a mosquito truck!! God definitely has a sense of humor in a good way...lol...Happy training and hope all is well!

Another run down hills tonight. Super hot tonight too it had to be near 100. so just took it slow and steady and was rewarded at the top when I got to turn around and see the sun setting on mountains and desert makes me remember why I live in the desert.

Good morning teammates!

No run for me today but I will be going for a pool swim shortly. Busy day at work as well.

Tomorrow my local running club,
The Pine Belt Pacers, is hosting a track meet at the University's track complex, or our own version of it. It includes all kinds of fun stuff, 1500 run, 400 relays, softball throw, kids ice-cream run, steeplechase run, standing long jump, etc... I volunteered to work the event so tonight we will set up and get everything organized. I will probably jump on a team for a few events tomorrow.

Everybody have a great day!

Okay - I have yesterday's 60 minute run on the docket today - I missed my lunch run yesterday and then after work I decided that OWS and date night were more important than a run that I could move - so that's that.  Always a good choice especially when the BF surprises me with sushi and ice cream! *smile*

I did my first brick of the season last night...50 minute ride and 2 mile run...close to what I will need to do in my sprint next weekend.  I felt really really good, but boy was my run SLOW...Has anyone else experienced this?  Where you feel fine, but just aren't moving as fast as you normally do?

Good for you with the brick! I always feel so much slower on the run. I think that 2 miles is just short enough to keep it feeling tough. I sometimes find that in longer runs I can pick up speed after a while. This is great training for your race!

I do this a lot with swimming. I'll feel like I'm moving through the water well, but then my time is slower than usual. And then there are times when I feel like I'm practically drowning, but end up with a good time.

Speaking of training and eating. Yesterday I ate two ice cream sandwiches, one right after the other. They were raspberry chocolate chipped filled and tasted so good I just had to have another.  I cannot tell you how ill I felt a couple of hours later.

No run for me today, heading to Eastern Washington with my friend to do a tri tomorrow Much fun!
