Champion 6225 | Subject: RE: Team #2 - August 4 is More Challenge wgraves7582 - 2009-08-06 6:27 AM Finally (for now) - if you read Fat Cyclist blog - his wife Susan passed away from cancer. If you have some free time drop a post in his blog - it was at 725 this morning already and he will read them all in due time. Here is the link: If you don't read his blog you might want to keep an eye on it - this guy is a warrior in the battle against cancer. He loved Susan and showed it in all of his actions. i'll definately go and chk out the link. thanks for posting it BILL. though im not sure im 'up to' anymore sad stories. i was reading a copy of the Pgh Post Gazette at the pool yesturday. bawling my eyes out...im sure all those suburban Barbies thought i was a complete loon. in the paper i read two gut wrenching stories. a cyclist was killed in Oakland, on his way home from work. hit and run. he has a pregnant wife back in China. he was bought a home for her after working and saving over the last year. he was just about to bring her (and the new baby) here to live. then, im sure you heard. a gunman went into a LA Fitness aerobic class w four guns and shot and killed three women and injured 8-10....and then shot himself. they had bios on each of the women. all beloved. sad. sad. sad. both, senseless. and i cant help but think (i know this sorta thing is so rare/random) all that time i spend in the spin room at our Y. if someone ever came into that room, and blocked the door, theres no other way out. just scary. im sure that our Y has/will take every precaution necessary but still. this guy was a member there... Hey BOZ. sorry your swim was sucky. but i bet you LOOKED mighty fine and superfly in your swim skin. and WOOT on the Garmin 310XT working. thats something, anyhow. im hoping Santa brings me one of those some Christmas. im jealous. stacieb |
