Yes, Jerusalem, Jordan.  guess you can figure out my age now.  LOL

My parents were missionaries

And one assignment was a three year stint in Jerusalem, Jordan

You don't want to be a blond haired child in the middle east.

I can't tell you how many times my cheek was pinched by the adults who were busy saying how cute I was.

But they never did that to my older sister who had brown hair.

Very cool.

I turned 5 over there and came back to the states in time for my 8th birthday.

that was the only missionary trip that us kids went on with them.

All the other trips were of a much shorter duration so we did not go.

While we were there, all of our stuff was stored in my grandmothers attic and basement.

Why do grown ups think pinching cheeks is acceptable? No matter how cute the kid.

And when we returned, my raggedy Andy doll was missing.

I still don't know which cousin took it while we were gone.

I have not idea.  It hurts

I think that is kind of universal. I'm a brunette and don't remember any cheek pinching. Of course, I probably would pinched back. 

You'd think they'd fess up by now. Of course, they might be plain ole kleptomaniacs like my sister. She still takes my stuff and really thinks it is hers. 

When I was in college a greek guy pinched me on the cheek and I slapped him.  We both stood there looking shocked at each other.  It was totally a gut reaction on my part.  Probably from pented up years of anger for being pinched for 3 years.

Okay, I've got to go and play security for the middle school students now.

Hope they are as quiet as the high school students are today.

One can dream...
