#33 - 13.1 miles. Am I the only one who runs half marathons on the treadmill for fun? Crossed over 1300 miles for the year today as well.
Yes. I think you are.
I've done just over 20 miles on the treadmill. I'm not sure why I did it, but I remember watching Terminator 2 and it was distracting enough, but just barely. I try to only do my speedwork on the treadmill, and use it occasionally for recovery runs since it is a bit easier on the legs.
Congrats Justin on going 1300+ and also going 30 days, glad to see you sticking with it.
Congrats Brad on 500 days, next stop 2 years!
I've been taking it easy, running 4-7 miles per day all week and 2 of the last three days I've run absolutely pain free. I still feel some tenderness if I push on the problem spot on my knee, but I don't feel it running, and the same with the ankle. I must have rolled it at some point and didn't realize it during the 50, because it healed on pretty much the same timeline as a sprain.
#783- 2 mi recovery day.
I plan on going out for a longer run tomorrow. Its been 3+ weeks since the 50 and I'm feeling good and just want to get out and run. Nothing crazy, probably just 10-12.
I'd like to be 100% by the end of the month with about 40 mpw average, before I start my actual Boston/100 mile training. |
