Purple flags freak me out now. It's quite an interesting experience to feel a horrible burning on your shoulder and back, wonder what the heck it is, then have tentacles draped over your goggles. yeesh.... It's trainer time.... boooo peep purple flags???

Extreme Veteran 378 Really South | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps Does this challenge end next Monday? No....I really didn't pay attention to the rules, dates, ect. for this challenge. I might be able to get back on my bike Friday and Sunday. It was ca-ca-ca-coooooold in Mobile this morning. So, I opted for snoozing in. If I lived in the north I would just be fat and unhappy because I can't handle cold weather. |

Extreme Veteran 378 Really South | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps We are having the Azalea Trail 10K on Saturday. You should make a pit stop Saturday morning and run with us. Anything below 55 degrees and I'm pulling out the sweaters and sweatshirts and wearing double and triple layers. When it is in the 50s outside and I am biking with my friend from Colorado she is wearing just a tri top and I'm wearing jersey, arm and leg warmers and jacket. I went to college at the W in Columbus, MS (many, many moons ago). While in college we actually had snow. That is the only time in my life I've seen snow. |

I'm taking the running shoes, but I think I'm just gonna trot up and down 182 around 7am, then hop on a boat and put in a marathon fishing day. I was at the Independence Bowl when MSU and Tex. A&M played the "snow bowl." Well, I was at the first quarter of that game. What was that, end of the year 2000? It was the last time I saw snow, and the last time I want to see it. I don't see how people get around in that stuff. I'm with you on the cold weenie stuff. I wear long sleeves in spin sometimes because the fans are on to high. |

Elite 4148 Utah | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps The weather is all just relative to what you are used to/get used to. I've been in Utah for ten years now and I think I'm finally getting used to the cold. On sunny days I love to run when it's still only 30 degrees or so out (it feels GREAT!!!). However, I will always be the crazy coona** that wears a sweatshirt for fireworks on the 4th of July. I just can't get used to the summer chill. My nose has also still never adjusted to this DRY climate. Can you believe they call 70% humidity high???? |

OK, I'm lost... whaddya mean, Tinkerbeth? I'm at 87% of goal as of today. No problemo making it to goal by the 31st (and yes, you have until the end of the month to complete your goal). I was hoping it wouldn't come to this but it appears we are in FOURTH place... *GASP*... so, ummmm... RIDE YOUR BIKE AND MEET YOUR GOAL. I mean that in the nicest way.

Champion 5117 Brandon, MS | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps 15.6 out of 16 down. And I have two more rides scheduled, which I found odd until I realized I didn't factor in any time for my race two weekends ago. Oh well, I guess that's good since I also double counted one workout when setting my goal. I had moved it, but forgot to delete it from the original day. All that said... It's been a GREAT month, especially since a lot of the hours have been OUTSIDE!!! |

Ahhhhh... I see... I didn't see that you had edited your post... I'm a little disappointed in you Beth... that clearly could have been an extra post for some legitimate post count padding ! You'll get that class in, no worries!

Elite 4148 Utah | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps WEATHER REPORT!!! I woke up to SNOW this morning. It was cloudy and snowy through lunch. Now it's beuatiful and about 40 something. Though I think I might skip riding today (ouch... as the pink whip hits) but my legs are actually a little stiff and I'm feeling tired. I promise to ride (or maybe ski , it did snow you know) tomorrow. |
