Why is it I can pack for a 10 day business trip to Japan in 10 mins but a 3 day weekend getaway takes hours? Won't be around this weekend but look forward to catching up when I get back |

I am heading out tomorrow mid-day for a fun ladies-only charity bike ride. This is the ride called Little Red Riding Hood, it's a fund raiser for cancer research through the University of Utah's human genetics department. It's an annual bash about 90 miles north of SLC. It's a fun girl's weekend, with a supported bike ride with 5 different distances to choose from. I registered for the 100, but I will probably only do the 56 or 80. my longest ride in the last 11 months was just over 20 miles. Ugh. Should I do the 35 miler instead? At any rate, it'll be fun to check back in next week and let you all know what I ended up choosing. I probably won't be around on Friday, I have a lot of things to get done before I can leave, 2 kids out of school, a roofing contractor coming to give a bid, and I leave around 1:00 local time. Have fun while I'm gone! (Like I even needed to say that!) Drink a margarita or two for me! MWAH! |

My plans for this weekend include going down to DC to watch my niece and nephew while my sister and BIL go to a mandatory fun banquet for the Navy. I think while I'm in DC I'm going to try and drive the Marine Corps Marathon route before I head home. I'll be around most of the day if anyone wants to stop and play with me. |

If it isn't a race and you aren't going for time, and if you're feeling ok, go for the 100. Personally, I can't wait to ride a century. |
