There were only 3 of us from the group that showed up so our tutor guy bought us dinner. I only had something small due to swimming. But we (well me anyways) learned a lot about little things to think about when considering speciality choice, etc. He is a medical/surgical psychiatrist and treats people who are in the hospital--so more acute psych considerations vs chronic psych management. It actually sounds pretty cool. I'll probably see if I can go and shadow him at some point. Who knows...maybe I'll end up in psych? He says his job is pretty cushy...haha. I can only imagine. 8 more years...8 more years...or 5 if I did general family...but I don't really want to do that....

Oooo, here's a good one...

So we were doing this train set tonight and you follow one another, flip, and then the 1st person in the line has to dolphin kick underwater under all the people in the train before they can come up. So I was second in the line and one of the boys flipped and was a bit too shallow, so when he did his first upstroke of his dolphin kick he kicked me in the chest and then his heel stuck on the edge of my suit...so when he did his downstroke my suit sort of went with it and TOTAL TOPPAGE EXPOSURE!! Surprised Haha.

Ya...flashing 16 yr old boys...its what I set out to do in the morning...mission accomplished.

I'm 1/2 packed for San Fran...just need to pack clothes clothes...have all my "absolute necessities"--runners, race belt, tights, shirt, body glide...all packed. My BFF is taking me out tomorrow night for my bday...so I'll have to finish packing when I get home (she already knows it is to be an early night...haha)...

Ok, I need some some gouhlie help. i want hubby to buy me some compression tights (for recovery) for Christmas. if I tell him now, he has plenty of time to do all his fact-finding and bargain hunting. I need to know where to send him to show him what I'm talking about. Any thoughts/links?

Hi Amy!

Are you asking for tight recommendations? I have several different pair of CW-X tights and I love them! I think the site is www.cw-x.com You can also get several of the styles at www.roadrunnersports.com I think it's about $2 to become a VIP member, and if you do that you can save $$ when shopping, I think it's like a 25% discount for VIP members.

deehtz - 2010-10-14 5:03 PM So how is everyone doing on your challenge goals this month?  So far I am on track.  Hopefully I won't get behind while we are gone this weekend.  I plan on a treadie speed workout at the hotel on Friday.  And a ST session on Sunday.  That will keep me current.

I need to update my training logs, and the spreadsheet. I will try to do that tonight. I did jot down what I've done lately, so I just need to find the notepad it's on.

I see you don't have the mildly psychotic workout logging disorder I have.  I have to sit down and log the workout right away, often times still in my sweaty clothing.  It's as if somehow, if I don't log it right away, it never happened.

I used to log them when I was done. I just don't have a lot of free time at home right now. Soccer for 2 kids, piano lessons, schoolwork, and puppy all sort of hit at one time, which was during marathon training. Fortunately marathon training and soccer will be done soon. I hope to get back into some sort of routine then.

Hi all. Fridays are kind of a downer these days between anat and tests. I have to wait another 8 hrs before I get to have any semblance of the "yay its Friday"...I know. Boohoo me, welcome to reality. Shhhh. I don't really like reality. Goals and stuff seem to be coming along fine. I have a moderate version of Neal's psychotic logging disorder. I'll more or less have completed running on Sun. Swimming will get done somehow (I might need to chuck in a extra session somewhere because I'll miss 2 practices next week with being in San Fran and all. I have a bruise on my chest from yesterday. Bah. Haha
