Everything is ice here today so I am home again. Most likely I will only work 1 day this week. It irks me I have to use my vacation time during the winter, I'm really hoping they eventually close the base so I don't have to burn my time.

What's everyone have on tap for today?

eurasn1 - 2011-01-31 11:44 PMJust got back from the gym.  Swam 600m (8x75 30secs rest between).  Feel ok.  Now I know how much better it is to get there early in the a.m. without having to deal with all the horseplay going on.

Out2BeALoser - 2011-01-31 6:34 PM Well I had hoped to run outside but the wind picked up and it got too cold. So, did my long run on the treadmill, which I hate but I sucked it up and did 6.66 miles. No I'm not the devil, that's how ar I got in 90 minutes

Usually around here if they are calling for snow or ice there is a run on milk and bread at the stores.

SFD156 - 2011-02-01 5:06 PM Day 3 workouts done.......bike ride was great (in the gym of course)...swim not so much but I have a local gent who has agreed to work with me on my swimming....run (and or xc ski if the gyms closed) tomorrow.....enjoy the snow all!!!!

We are getting freezing rain and everything outside is frozen solid. I'm home again today.

ironannekidd - 2011-02-02 9:12 AM So in anticipation of being cleared to workout soon, and spring coming, I ordered a few things this week.

I ordered new running shoes, and I ordered a Speedfill hydration system for my bike. I hope I get lots of use out of both this summer.

Its going to be a high of 70 here in NC...but dont get the wrong idea this is definitely abnormal weather for us! I got fitted for new running shoes on sunday and its definitely going to take some time to get use to them. The guy who was helping me has done several triathlons one being a half iron man called beach to battleship which is in Wilmington NC in November. I would love to do that race, it sounds like a lot of fun but it seems like a lot to accomplish even though its so far away.
