Member 50 Florida | Subject: RE: Pitter Patter of Fast Feet... aka PFFT Got the last run of the month in for me as well with close to an eight miler. Twas my longest run to date... well before the 15K next weekend. Came close to that 40... but I just couldn't push out any more tonight. Ended out at 38.46/40. Oh so close. It's been a fun month with you all Pfft... I just got super busy the last couple weeks between vacation, moving, starting the new job, etc hadn't had the time to get on here too often. Everyone that's sick need's to get well soon! And happy leap year |

I have been stuck at home with a sick kid and was going to run tonight, but now I am feeling achy and just not well. Sorry I couldn't pull through, sickness got in the way. |

Champion 5345 Carlsbad, California | Subject: RE: Pitter Patter of Fast Feet... aka PFFT OK, I updated the spreadsheet to reflect recent updates: (Pulled #s from the logs) Dexter----------40------miles----44.44---111% Team Completed: 97.24% I think a few more folks (Including me) have runs scheduled for this afternoon but it seems like we did really well. As a team, we are within spitting distance of the goal |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Pitter Patter of Fast Feet... aka PFFT sparco - 2008-02-26 12:08 PM Guys, I may come out a little short for this challenge. The majority of the family (including I) came down with the flu this weekend. I took the day off from work yesterday, but today am into work with a morning full of 'productive' coughs. Hooray for Mucinex. If I can get this chest congestion out, I plan on a run tomorrow and Friday...if not...I may be stuck at 88% I'll keep you updated... Hi Sorry to hear that you've caught the evil bug. Since you're not usually one to (I'm thinking that if you stayed home from work, you must REALLY be sick - and it's not that you just felt like grabbing some cheesecake or something. ) Hope you feel better soon! Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Pitter Patter of Fast Feet... aka PFFT sparco - 2008-02-27 1:06 PM Just got back from the doctor. I have an upper respiratory infection, but the doc gave me some kick-butt antibiotics, so I should be better soon, but unfortunately not in enough time to get my last 8 miles in. I asked him if I could still train this week...he just laughed... Well, I stand at 88% of goal. Is it best that I drop out, or do we have enough team overage to cover? Well, gee. I should have kept reading your team thread. (Or the PMs that 1for1 sent. LOL) Nope, you can't drop out. (Actually, I'm being consistent with this - I just said that same to someone on another team.) But you MAY revise your goal. It sounds like you got sick around Saturday (the 23rd), right? So you missed 7 days.... (29-7=22 days that you did work out) / 29 days in Feb = 76% So you did participate for 76% of the month. I've just revised your goal to 76% of your original amount. Because your mileage was reduced however, your amount is capped at 100%. (You don't get to hit the "bonus" amount of 110%.) Congratulations - while you missed the last week, you were on schedule to be ahead of your goal. So by doing that, you have helped your team. Feel better! Dee Edited by D001 2008-02-29 6:50 PM |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Pitter Patter of Fast Feet... aka PFFT WaterDog66 - 2008-02-27 2:12 PM My feeling is that we are all a team Sal, and would rather see you finish with the team even if it is less than what you had hoped. You put in a great month of training and would hate to see you drop from the team so close to the finish. (Regardless of your final % Complete) In the end, it is all about the motivation that comes from being on a team that makes all of this so much fun. We start as a group, hang together as a group, and finish as a group. Whatever happens with the final standings is not nearly as important to me. FWIW: I think there are quite a few folks who will be logging a 110% so we will have a good chance of hitting 100% overall as a team. I am not the team Captain and have no official say in how your illness get's treated. This is just my opinion WaterDog - well said. |

Sorry that so many people are feeling under the weather... February was a rough month... took me out of action for a week mid-month, as well. |
