January Challenge Week 2 (aka, The World According to Beth)

Swim, bike, run, post, post, post! The cornerstones of the January Challenge!

Ok, so posting really isn’t one of the triathlon sports, and really has nothing to do with the January challenge, although early in week 2 you wouldn’t have known that based on the posting activity of the Talking Tilapia Flying Fish and the Twisted Blisters! Members of both teams took the posting challenge to heart and members of each team valiantly tried to out post each other. They even started to resort to replying to each other’s posts within their own thread (ummmm, certainly nothing yours truly would have done) – LOL!! Captains Kendra and Beth called a truce and started new threads and the focus is back on the challenge (although, the blisters are ahead in the post count hehehe!)

So Blisters may be ahead now, and we will gladly let them be, but Flying Fish were ahead by 120 posts when the truce was called. LOL

Good Morning Blisters! Wake up California!

Julie, are you running or biking this morning? Ahhh, I bet you are doing both!

Beth, nice job on the team update. I can only imagine the amount of time you put into that. It is great to read, and really is cool the way it really ups the challenge.

I am heading out for a 2.0 mile run....with a box of Kleenex this morning. I am just going to take it slow, I am looking forward to the 2.0 mile run ~ get to listen to more tunes on the pod ~ I just hope that not feeling good doesn't ruin it.

I did it.....2.0 miles!  I am now at 50% of my challenge and on track to meet my goal.

It was tough to breath this morning and I couldn't "bweath thwough my nose".  Don' t understand what the difference is through nose or mouth, but I could feel it.

Ok had a rough day yesterday and I didn't get a chance to run. With work and school I didn't even get in the door to the house till about 9pm. I made sure to bring my stuff in today so I can run at lunch and hopefully get a spin session in tonight after school.

I'll be away for a while, but have logged my committed 40 miles and will update the spreadsheet.  My father passed away this afternoon and I need to take care of some things.

This isn't goodbye, just a "see you later".  I'll try to keep logging miles and will update everything if I do.

Jon I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry about your dad! I will definitely be thinking of you!

Glad to see that this is just a "see you later note"...take care of yourself and realize that the BT world...especially us blisters wish you and your family the best and our sincere sympathy! Here is a little something that someone sent to me recently as we just lost a family member, too! TAKE CARE!!!!! Sincerely - you B-sister, Julie!

Take time for yourself,
Give yourself permission to grieve

As water flows, freezes and thaws
So will your heart.
