Expert 1566![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Subject: RE: Razorxp & KCgolf RFP group! CLOSEDOk - so here are my picture(s) for this week. I don't really talk much about my job mostly because I have so many other damn things going on in my life -but I have a really cool job and work on some awesome projects around the country and world. We build, install and lease rack and pinion elevators. The first picture was from 2 years ago when we installed 3 elevators on the lightning towers at Kennedy Space center Space Shuttle Launch Pad 39B. I basically got to sit on the launch pad for 1 week and watch my crews work. This picture is taken from the platform where the astronauts would enter the shuttle. The second picture is from 80 stories up during the construction of Trump Tower in Chicago. I am basically standing on a 2 x 6 plank above nothing (huge for me becaus when I started this job I was afraid of heights-haha). Later came to find out that the harness I was borrowing was set up for a 250lb Ironworker and if I had fallen I probably would have just slipped right out -ouch. The last picture is a rendering of a current project I am working on for CalTrans and the new Oakland Bay Bridge. We are building and installing a custom elevator to be installed on the SAS Main Column. This will be the only elevator in the world like this. Sorry - I know this was long but I kept finding good pictures-haha Edited by tmoran80 2012-01-11 10:02 AM (Launch-Pad-39B.jpg) (trump-tower.jpg) (Bay-Bridge.jpg) Attachments ---------------- Launch-Pad-39B.jpg (91KB - 7 downloads) trump-tower.jpg (85KB - 8 downloads) Bay-Bridge.jpg (79KB - 12 downloads) |

Veteran 225![]() ![]() ![]() Milwaukee, WI | Subject: RE: Razorxp & KCgolf RFP group! CLOSEDNice pictures everyone! I am attaching my photo...besides soccer and triathlons, my other favorite summer hobby is fishing. I have been going out on Lake Michigan since I was a little girl on my grandpa's fishing boat, which my dad and I still use! We head out and troll for salmon. This was the biggest fish I have ever caught- I caught it in July of 2010, and it was a struggle reeling him in- salmon like to dive and jump! My arms got a GREAT workout in that day! Just about to pack up and head home...relax for a little bit, then get my brick workout in today- 75 min bike followed by 40 min run.

Regular 115![]() | Subject: RE: Razorxp & KCgolf RFP group! CLOSEDI'm waiting for my coach to show up for my workout. He should be here in a few minutes. I still feel pretty crappy, so we're just going to work on some stability type stuff. Okie dokie. I'm glad that Mandown asked how to post pics because I was about to ask the same thing. So I'll give it a shot. This isn't the most interesting pic in the world, but it's recent. It was just taken right before Christmas. There's my hubby Jared, my 7 year old Emily, and my dogs. Chewy is on the left and he's 11. Stella is on the right, and she's 9. Hope this works!! (Family Pic Resized.jpg) Attachments ---------------- Family Pic Resized.jpg (51KB - 7 downloads) |

Expert 1325![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Findlay, OH | Subject: RE: Razorxp & KCgolf RFP group! CLOSEDThis is cool to see the other side of everyone and get to know them better, I have a new laptop so I have very few pics on it. Once I get home I will post some. Well I did it woke up and did the bicrkim yoga, When you walk in your breath is kinda taken away with the heat & I was sweating before we even started. Apparently the moves are always the same so many were new to me as I am a VERY novice yoga person (only do a few moves that are tri specific) The worst thing was is the clock was right in front of me and I kept looking at it as I swear I lost 10-15lbs of water. The instructor and people were all cool as most were advanced and I could barely hit most of the moves let alone trying to hold my limbs that were soaked. All in all I did enjoy it but 90mins is outside my A.D.D range so I was getting board let alone doing the exact same workout over and over. I may do it again one more time just for the heat as I don't think my local Ymca will like me holding a yoga class in the sauna. |

Regular 115![]() | Subject: RE: Razorxp & KCgolf RFP group! CLOSEDGot a little run in this evening. I seem to have lost some of the precious little run fitness I had since I've had this dang cold. Sure hope it comes back quickly. For now, my coach is really having me focus on run form because I didn't have any, and he thinks that's part of why I'd get hurt a lot. It's really weird thinking about form while I run, but it does seem to help, and I'm sure I look way less floppy. Have you all been "trained" on run form, or do you just run how you naturally run? |

It's so much fun to do races in the area so my family can cheer me on. It doesn't happen very ofter now, so I have to love every second that it does! I love all of the pics...I'm not sure that I know how to post one. The last few days have been good. I officially started my IMFL training. I did my Vision Quest class on Monday, swam 1000 yesterday and ran 3 today. So far I'm off to a good start! Theresa |

In a training class this week and falling a bit behind at work as a result. Spent the night catching up rather than spinning...probably needed it. @Mary: Nice job of making your goal during your race. @Deb: I have the same problem, if I am outside on a run it's hard for me to keep it shorter than 4-5. When is your Marathon? @Keri: Love the photo of your daughter. Kids make everything look so fun. @Scott: That is an awesome photo. Should I ever complete an IronMan I wan't one. Although I will be sure to wear black shorts and not red...yuck. @Tim: Those photo's are incredible. I am scared of heights and it makes my knees weak just looking at the photo's. Yikes! @Notsurewhoasked: The wife's objection's are as follows...1. Time away from family 2. Cost 3. Fear of me dying. We are working through them. |
