I've been slacking on posting!
So have I! Congrats on the milestones Ron and Justin!
#946- 10 mi trail early morning, then barbeque/picnic in a park with the family
#947- 10 mi trail again!
#948- 14.5 mi trail (3 hour run ) yes I was slow, but I ran on the most technical trails in the area. I also did not bring enough fluids. It was pretty hot and I only had 50 ounces. I was on empty for the last 30 minutes.
#949- 2 mi recovery
#950- 4.2 mi run, 2 mi hike (2 mi warm up, 2 mi hike (1500ft ), 2.2 mi cool down )
#951- 5 mi trail , did a bunch of steep repeats on a short section focusing on running downhill with a fast turnover. Fell once, but not on the downhill section!
I also volunteered for my first race, the Mayapple Trail runs. They had a few distances, 10 mi, 20 mi, 50k, 100k, and around 130 participants overall. I worked the aid stations. I will probably run the race next year. I train on those trails and feel I could do well. I also have free entry next year as a volunteer. I did it for my Grindstone work requirement, but it was fun and educational to see a race from the other side and I wouldn't mind volunteering again.
#952- 2 mi, was out all day with family, squeezed in my run. I didn't close out the week like I'd want, but I've been feeling good, as healthy as I've been in a long time. I hope I can start cranking up the training and stay that way. |
