Aloha.   God if only I could be in Hawaii. Well wait, just plant a few palm trees, sit me on a deckchair and hand me a mai tai and I could be.  I just saw weather reports for around here this weekend.  92F on Friday!  What the fluff!!??? Holy cow.  I can't wait. I wish I had a wetsuit. Darn it.  Oh well.

Had a marvellous brick tonight. If I could just stand on the podium here for a few minutes and tell you that I did better in tonights brick than I have done in ANY RACE I've competed in. Hehehehehhhe.    Ok. Down I come.   Thank ye, thank ye all.

x2

you go girl! KIU!

thanks everyone. I just got off the phone with my brother. He sounds really weak, but that is to be expected. He will be in the hospital for another week and on a liquid diet for the next few days. He has a tube down  his throat and that could also be why it is really hard to understand him. He had a room full of people visiting him....so he was also a bit distracted....which is very understandable. My sister will be calling me later with details on what the doc said. Looks like it was something called diverticulitis!? will wikipedia it and see if I find anything!?! I will keep you all posted....

I did run a short run this morning. I plan on swimming tomorrow and Friday (I am hoping 2000m each day), and a bike ride on Sat/Sun...

what about you - have you been on the google spreadsheet lately? are you close to that 50% mark on biking, swimming and running? if not, get busy...and if you have....GOOD FOR YOU! YOU ROCK!!!

GO TEAM!!!!!!!!! LET'S ALL ROCK!!!

Good news, Julie! Looking forward to hearing about his recovery over the next few weeks!

thanks Heidi!!!

sure you need a wetsuit in those temps? and hey you keep talking about coming to SF...now that you have that PHAT bike...why not tour down here and visit!

I am looking at that race you sent me...I just have a lot coming up in the next few months: dad will be here for a week starting next week (if is health allows him to travel), July heading to Colorado for ten days for a family reunion, end of July going to San Diego for a tri, August back to SD for a tri...and we usually try to take a trip to Hawaii in September...so, not sure I can fit it into my schedule...much less my budget! REALLY TRYING TO THOUGH! what is the date again?

Ha ha! Lake Washington is still freezing! I stuck my hand in it last night and it was literally ice cold. My dog refused to swim. The threat of a snowy April and May sure translates into cold lakes!

Smart, or lazy. We're not quite sure. Although she did do a nine miler a few weeks ago! I have a brand new wetsuit that hasn't been broken in because the water is so cold that I fear hypothermia regardless of the suit~

Our last snow was on Monday, and I really mean hopefully our last (for this year). Brrrr, it is just soooo cold. I'm not lookin' forward to that pond swim, and I'm sure I don't want to try to set any records on my first time out!

Ew, I'm not sure how cold it is...but literally, it was shocking to my hand! My dog went for a run with my fiancee and I left with them (but sped off). They chased me all the way to the turn around (where both felt great). Then they realized that the had 4.5 miles to go home...needless to say, both dog and fiancee slept soundly!

Well, united flies direct to Kauai (Lihue LIH) from San Francisco as well, if you haven't seen our island, you should but if you like night life and more shopping Maui is better. We are a little quiet and very scenic over here. Inter island air fare has gone up since Aloha went out. Very sad.

Have to go take my son to PT be back in a bit!

I have a sprint tri in Honolulu flying over on sat for sunday race! I am excited because my season last year was a downer due to illness and injury.  I feel good! nananananana...

As far as turning your 5k into a brick have your bike close by and jump on!

Hey Julie. It's July 19th. I'm not registered but I just thought you'd like to see it. Still debating on doing it. I just recently joined Seatri.org and the gal that coaches our Wednesday nights swim WON it in 2006. So next week I'm going to ask her about it. No stress on you my dear. I know you have mega on your plate

Now about SF.  We'll just have to see if we get that darned truck from my hubby's work!! The guys wants to sell it for $600. It's a toyota and has 160K on it but it runs great! If we could have that we would have no car debt and more money for trips to SF   See what ahm talking about? LOL

Going to be a scorcher here tomorrow but like Rachie said the lake is FREEZING. In the low 40's!!!  Too much snow pack just now but apparently with a wetsuit it should feel just fine. Something I do not have yet.  This is such an expensive sport.  But then again so is drinking and smoking

Have a FUN Friday everyone! You are all rocking!!

Darn it. Oh well.

So which Island are you coming to??? Kauai is the bestest one! I can take you on some great swims. Oh there is this great sprint tri or duathalon that I like to do in sept; it is on Oahu all women!

Yes!  Come to Oahu and do the Na Wahine tri.  It's a great experience!

Well team I am at 56% swim 72% bike and run 47% yippy! I may have to up my bike goal by the end of next week. With our spreadsheet up to date, we should be close to the top!. GO TEAM!

Was just on the google spreadsheet...although I am not quite up to the 60% that I should be at this point, I am at 44.5 in swim, 63.5 in biking and 45% in runs...and i know that I will meet my goals (barring injury)...but I did want to mention that I saw a lot of low numbers for this far into the month...I will be doing a graph on Monday with names/goals/and where you presently are...so, if you do not want to be on the low end of this chart...get busy this weekend....if you are sick or injured, make sure to lower your goals thru the moderator...have a good weekend and GO TEAM GO! we are the best, right!?! so time to prove it!!!!

Could some nice person help me with the spreadsheet. Sorry I am so dumb with it. I really am afraid I will destroy it all. Or we can wait till Sunday as tomorrow I'm swimming/riding/running.  That would be awesome.

Ok. Podium time again. So sorry about this. But go check out my run that I did tonight. Same exact run I did on Wednesday only a ballhair further. Oh my. Honestly. Can I do that race day?

Everyone is ROCKING! Hope you're all enjoy this BEAUTIFUL WEATHER and have a spiffy weekend   Mwah.
