oops-the shredder is so full that top portion is no longer sitting on the bucket portion.

Where did that empty paper bag go...

I can bag the shredded documents and send them back to dave as filler in the bike box.

I just though that you might want your documents back...

Im more excited about all the other girls doing it!!!

Me - just have to NOT run around and exhaust myself watching everyone in the 3 earlier races AND...  not get heatstroke...it was 40 degrees(well over 100F) and VERY humid last time...start time of 11am in the middle of summer is kind of ridiculous!

Then 2009 becomes the year of the base...esp on the bike...Ive been re-reading 'Going Long' but I think I need to see what else is out there to read as I dont really know what Im doing and could use some pointers to get started!

Yes, you are both so very talented and also lucky to be shepherding those girls through this tri!

Going Long is very Ironman focused, although it's a good read. For what your goals are and what you want to do, I'd suggest The Perfect Distance by Tom Rodgers. It addresses half-Iron training, but takes a good long-term view on it, and a little different take. I think you would really like it.

I have 'The Perfect distance' - must be time for a re-read! I recommeded it to a few BTers when I first got it!!!

Whenever my training starts coming together again I start thinking HIM again but realistically my body has never held up to anything near the run volume required...so I may have to start that much desired transition to cyclist this year...

Maybe a bit of both...if I was to HIM it would be 2010...and my inability to stick at anything makes that unlikely...then again I did say my goal for 2009 was to stop talking about stuff and start doing it (starting with being good with my money so I can get a nice bike) so who knows?

Maybe I just havent found the right motivation/inspiration/purpose yet!

mchally - 2009-01-02 1:21 AM That sounds awesome.  I thought that you had said something about graduate school and lit., but I also am very creative and will come up with all sorts of interesting things while I am dreaming and can't always tell the truth from fiction.

I think that's what they call a gift.

And I take drugs to suppress it so I don't go insane.  It is not fun to interact with people when you are not sure whether the last conversation you had with them really happened.  Especially when you are trying to survive High School.

Oh dear. No doubt.

I just decided to be done with the actual shredding for tonight.  I got through about 2/3rd the papers, but it is getting late and I have roommates and there are kids in the unit next door.  I am not sure how much noise carries through, but still...

It is tempting-it would be funny, but I already have plenty of packing materials.  I set all the wrapping and tissue paper aside.  I also have various bubble wrap, foam, and packaging stuff that has been kicking around the garage.

And it is all in a pile in the corner of my bedroom (blocking the closet door)

I decided that I am not in the mood for coconut sorbet right now.  I have a bowl full of frozen berries.  Raspberries, boysenberries, and blueberries.

No, but it's an Indonesian thing to drink hot orange or lemon juice when you are ill with cold. I rather like it! I bet Tang would be good hot, silly girl, you've given me an excuse to drink more of it now

Know what-  Dave and I are very similar...I have a whole box full of bags full of this sort of papers in my parents garage.  I just came across a change of address notification from 2005.  I bet he has just been stashing these ever since he moved to Seattle.

The problem with my stash is that there is stuff to be shredded mixed in with stuff that really should be filed away.

I'm 32 years old and my filing system is still throw-it-next-to-the-computer.

I'm poring some really good SIMPLE, USEFUL books on ADD and getting organized. It's a serious task. I don't know where these mountains of things come from, I really don't.

I have a couple of life organizational skill books for ADHD types (and some for bipolar) I could send you some of the charts and lists type stuff I found useful.

BTW I've become an internet stalker...I wanted to send you a christmas card so I tracked you down on the internet.  It is sure easy to find people.  I rarely get around to sending cards and such-I have a drawer full of semi written postcards and letters that are addressed and stamped.

the point of the stalker thing was to say that I already have your address.

The joys of renting...I have nowhere near enough storage for all my books/CDs/DVDs/CLothes...which considering I dont have much of any of its it bizarre...

so a lot lives under my bed...

books tend to pile up with magazine then from time to time I will grab the easily accessible stuff and try to find it another home!

Excellent! I'm actually glad I can be found. Nobody, once looking at my credit report or realizing what is ON my driver's license, would want to steal my identity anyway. Utterly useless.

Are you sure it's the right one, on Dell Ave. ?

Mel, if you are able, and no rush, I would love to see useful charty listy stuff.

And thank you so much for the Christmas card anyway.
