Off to get fitted for orthotics this morning!  I'm excited for happier knees but not terribly excited for ~$300 less in my bank account.  These things better help!

I'm riding to the doc's and riding to the office after which is only about 4.5 or 5mi, I think... probably too short to count toward TdF.  I mean... technically it'd be ok, but prob not worth it.

Oh yeah - in my fit of hunger, I almost forgot - I got in a trainer ride this morning.  Watched a wee bit of stage 5 while I was spinning away.  I got all revved up watching the boys pedal along and ended up getting in a good quality workout.

I'm sure it was the boys moreso than the pedaling that motivated you You ever notice how pretty much all guys look hot on a bike? Then they take off the helmet and glasses and you see the truth. But on the bike, sexy!

There are still a few that look good with out the noggin accessories.  And I bet they look pretty good without all that lycra too.

Much agreed I do love the men in our fair sport! At least the lycra leaves little to the imagination

Hee hee!  That's what got me into swimming, I think.  In high school I used to help out with the boy's swim team during practice and also helping manage their meets... that way I got to travel to all the other district high schools and check out guys in Speedos.     Love of the sport was born!

I think 15 minutes is the minimum for a stage.  So you could count it.

But I'm like you.  I'm not counting my commutes unless we get to the end of the month and I need a few extra miles and/or stages

^^^^ 15 minutes counts as a stage if you want it to...

in terms of counting commutes it is personal but you do need to be consistent... it must all be in your log too...

I can't count the measly 1.5 mile bike each way to work every day (I stopped bothering to put those extra 3 mi in my log anyway) but this is a special-outta-my-way commute, so maybe I will.  Garmina'd the trip, just in case... I'll have to see how the distance looks when I upload later.

I can't keep up with the post padding.

I had a long run tonight, ugh...it was S-L-O-W....but I finished it out....

Don't worry.  Anything of importance is in red.  Are you racing this weekend?

No.  I have the toddlers for church this weekend.  I may volunteer at the sprint 7/19.

My next race is the Oly in NY.  That lake is COLD, the bike has a humongous hill right off T1 with lots of rollers--but it's a gorgeous ride along the lake with wineries and all too (must not ride for sight seeing tour in the race) and the run loop is up a trail to a waterfall.

I did sign up for 2 other events though.  My employer sponsors a ride Aug 8, first 200 employees to register got a free pass.  SCORE!

Signed up for another oly in Sept too.

Free pass - awesome!
A race by wineries, for some reason me thinks your time will be slow that day with all your stops for wine tasting.

Where's the bike taking you today?

It'd be fun if some folks can give a description of your stages or post some pics where possible as we go through the Tour.

Stage 3 done this morning, my total mileage is up to 52.94 miles, which is low because everything is so short. I'll get two more stages in this weekend, one teeny tiny (my day before race ride) and one for 56 miles! Once I get my next two week's schedule I'll adjust my goal if needed so as not to appear to be sandbagging
