disturbed275 - 2010-06-04 11:09 AM Hi ann.  Work's brutal today.  No play time

That's just sad.

I wish I had things to do at work. I've got a little over 4 hours to go and I have nothing to do.

Can I delegate to you some of my work?  Then we'd both have a little time to play too

Send it over, I'll help you get it done.

Do you like smelling solvents?  I might as well send you the fun stuff since you're offering to help out

Remind me what you do, Neal? My hubby comes home reeking of solvent frequently...

I'm a chemist at a manufacturing facility.  I've heard, ummm, from coworkers that sniffing solvents is good for an afternoon pick me up

Back from the race.  It ended up fairly well.  29th out of ~700 or so.  5th in my AG.  They are generous with the hardware at this race and it is super sweet hardware at that.  The second piggy I've added to my collection

Hope everyone's weekend was good.

I ended up doing the 35 mile ride. Out of the 6 of us, 2 did the 100, 2 did the 80, and 1 was doing the 35 miler. it was her first offical ride, first ride longer than 18 miles period. I had a dream the night before the ride...nedless to say it told me to do the 35 miler. I am SO glad I chose that one. At mile 24 I started having trouble with my arrhytmia (atrial fibrillation), but managed to finish strong. Plus, I had someone nearby who knew who I was in case I started to not do so well (and I didn't feel like such a wimp each time I needed to stop for a minute--it gave her a chance to catch up to me, and me a chance to make sure I was still ok and didn't need the SAG wagon). After we finished we hung out the expo and ate lunch and chocolate covered goodness from the chocolate fountain. Our friends all finished up about 3-5 hours after we did. I am one sunburnt chica today. I knew you were supposed to REAPPLY sunscreen after a few hours, but didn't for some reason, LOL.

Great job Neal! Woohoo! Nice Piggy! I eventually went for an 11km or so run along the water and the legislature grounds. But note: never, ever, ever, ever have raw onion before a run...worst plan ever...I still feel nauseous and its been like 3 hrs since I ran...:& yuck. Lesson learned. Cut the run a little short due to this and because I didnt want to push my glut too hard. No pain, just inflammation burny/itchy sensation. I have officially increased to 2 sets of 20 leg abductions...the glut medius is getting stronger!!! (I'm singing Kanye West right now--head bob*)

Okay, I have missed several days now.  Work is totally crazy.  All of our branches are struggling to keep up with the workload, but with the staffing levels we have right now it is impossible.  This week is only going to be worse because two staff are on leave.  So, bottom line, don't expect to see much of me this week.
