I don't know why I was OK last week about my marathon after the initial letdown last week, but now I'm back to hating the result and feeling frustrated that all the work I did didn't make me any better. 

O.K....NOW I understand how you got to page 14...

I think what made today hard is thinking about going and going the Christmas shopping for my kids... missing them, and realizing that this time of year, with the divorce and all, I'm going to miss out on the little children part of Christmas and I'm really, really angry about that. I had a guy call me from Bakersfield and he was asking - just to be social - about what I was doing for the holidays and I wanted to scream at him to STFU.

Scott, none of us are going to beat on you for anything (well, some of us would like to beat something on you, but that's a different issue ) ... you do that far too well all by yourself.

As I said to you before, you really are in a $hyty position for the holidays, no changing that. But there are ways to make it better for yourself--and don't discard the suggestions of we who love you just because you're feeling bad, as opposed to that they are bad suggestions.

Light Up Clappy Hands.  You see, whilest at the Chattanooga Waterfront Oly in July, a small child hurled accidentally dropped my cowbell into the river whilest a teenager swiped the beloved light up clappy hands that my friend W (itrithereforeiam on BT) had given me the night before (apparently he saw them and immediately thought of me... I am not sure how to take that).

So someone found a pair of light up clappy hands and sent them allllllllllllllll the way to Georgia.  If I had a heart I might feel all warm and fuzzy about that.

so, daughter brings home cheescake (to die for) from the event she was at this evening

my youngest, who loves cheesecake takes one look at it and the conversation goes something like this

son: I'm going to have me some cheesecake

mom: son, you're too young for cheesecake, you're only 12

son: {looking extrememly puzzled} huh?

mom:  {shaking her head} never mind son, it's sort of a joke, you wouldn't understand - go ahead, have some cheesecake

son: is this a joke you have with your internet friends or something???? you're always laughing when you're on that site
