#1192- 24 mi - snow was too deep to run in, I covered 2.2 miles outside (took me 40 minutes, I kept breaking through the snow crust so I couldn't really run, it was more like hopping ), so the rest I did on the treadmill. I did 10 miles with starting with 10% incline until I hit 313 ft then ran the rest of the mile flat. It was taking too long, so after the 10 mile mark, I just ran with no incline.

#1199- 14 mi trail in snow, took me over 4 hours (I did stop to take quite a few pictures ),it started melting during the run, the rocks underneath were very slippery, there was a lot of mud too, I did get lost once too. It was right around freezing so the snow was very sticky. It was absolutely beautiful how it caked on everything, but it even stuck to the trees and covered up the trail markers. I ran one mile at about 29 minutes, because I literally was going in small circles trying to find the next blaze. I hadn't really run on these trails since last summer, and they look a bit different covered in snow.
#1200- 8 mi
#1201- 7.1 mi
#1202-8 mi progression
I'm doing two long runs per week. Lately one 16 mile run on Tuesdays, then on Friday I run more for time on as tough of trails as I can get to. So far I've been in the 4-5.5 hour range. I also do one 8 mi progression run where I finish up just under a 6 min mile, usually one recovery run per week, and then I run an hour or so on most other days at a comfortable/easy pace usually 7-8 mi. |
