Subject: RE: triOK's Group - FULLgator22 - 2007-04-24 11:07 AM OK. Here is something to think about. I had my annual physical with the Police doctor today for SCUBA. I was actually looking forward to it after all the training I have been doing. Well, my bodyfat percentage was 25 %......!!!!!!! When I think of that number, I do not picture me, but the machine doesn't lie. I also scored my lowest score ever on the spirometer mesuring lung capacity. When I told the doc about all my training, he clearly did not believe me and may recommend I get dismissed from the team. I know that I have to become a diet Nazi and lift more to lower the BF %, but WTF????? Actually, they DO lie... a lot. The only way to get an accurate body fat measurement is to do a submersion test. Any of the other test methods are highly variable, and depending on what/where they are measuring, you could get a number that is WAY off. Don't sweat it. I think you are doing great! Keep at it and don't get discouraged by some stupid number that probably isn't right anyway. |
