kaqphin - 2008-08-14 9:05 PM As long as its not some sort of overuse injury that you set off and now that its been aggravated will play up every time you use that shoulder....

Um. Thanks, Cat! I feel *so* much better now. (Yes, actually, it could have been caused by overuse and/or poor technique. But now, every time I try to swim, it aggravates it again. I haven't even gone swimming in a long time, and it's still bothering me.)

Which is also why you STILL havent even seen a doctor about it....

Well, I did see a doctor, actually.

OK, so it was last November.

And she said she'd give me a cortisone shot if it didn't get better.

But I don't want a cortisone shot.

So I didn't go back.

Dee...

Maybe you could find a new job, relocate, and end up in a community with a POOL!!!!!

A cockroach free pool!!!

Move to the Upstate and swim at my pool. The we can go on long rides with George to Saluda

Now I would find that intimidating Swimming in "Pam's Pool", Gosh, I'd have SO MUCH to learn.... of course, then you'd be learning from one of the best

BTW... wasn't Pam supposed to go do 400m btrfly in 200m time and report back... seems like I recall something like that from earlier on....

LOL. The 50 fly in my 200 IM nearly killed me on Monday. It would be rather embarrassing to be rescued at the pool I work at it. Think I might lose some credibility.

Hm. Based upon her response to this ^^^^, I'm thinking that she hasn't gotten to my suggestion yet.

kns57 - 2008-08-15 11:03 AM Dee, I feel like you today. I'm on annual leave and I have had 4 phone calls from work at home today. What's up with that?

"Im sorry Kendra isnt available right now, she will be available next week. If the matter is urgent I suggest you find a solution"

Actually, just do the first sentence: "Kendra is not available right now. Please leave a message."

It's amazing how well people can figure out an answer when they hear something like that.

Um. Not that I do this at work, or anything.....

LOL

I guess I should have mentioned the two voice mails that were also left for me on the home phone. I guess this person does not remember that I write their reviews and it will be noted that they could not make a decision with out calling me on vacation or realizing that they should check with my Assistant Branch Manager who could have handled all of these questions. Can't wait to write this review.

Maybe they were worried that if they made the wrong decision, it would be noted on their review anyway?

"If I call Kendra, she'll be unhappy. If I decide the wrong way, she'll be unhappy. Which will make her less unhappy = that's what I'll do."

Um. Unfortunately, I just realized this is how we function at work these days..... *sigh*

She asked if it hurt when I raised my arm up like that. I said no.
She said that it didn't sound like a rotator cuff injury, but if it wasn't better "soon" that she could give me a cortisone shot for it.

Seriously, though. I do teach adults, especially triathletes. Someone has to spread the good news that kicking is not a sin! I can't believe how many triathletes drag their legs through the water "saving" them for the bike and run. And then curse at how tired they are coming out of the water, LOL.

Heather, when we had a roof rack, we would put the trash can just inside the garage door in the car's parking spot. So we always had to stop to move it out of the way. "What the?" Oh yeah, bikes are on top of car

Paragraph 1: Um. Can't argue with that. Although I think you're crazier for riding up to Saluda.

Paragraph 2: Kicking? What's that?

Paragraph 3: I had a bike once. I had a boyfriend too. He put my bike on the roof rack, next to his bike. I wasn't with him when "it" happened, nor would he ever tell me exactly "what" happened. But to make a long story short, my bike was not on the roof when he came back. When he pulled it out of the car for me, the wheel was bent in half, and the frame was bent, and the handlebars were, um, not straight, either....
