beginnerman: actually the race im doing is a lake swim-only 400M, try not to get killed by alligators, then a 10 mile bike ride looping twice, and a 5K to finish. itll be a good first one for me, and im hoping that since ive been training i hopefully will finish top 10 in the under-39 cateogry(theres only four cats-below 39 and above, male and female) but its just to get my "race" feet. I do bike and run outside when i can, but sometimes i gotta use the staionary at the gym or the trainer if its too dark-wife doesn't want me getting killed-and since im not training for an IM yet, i give in. ill post a short recap for the group when i get done on sunday. just treating it as an extended training day on my plan.

M: Are you sure that alligators are a bad thing...it seems to me that they would motivate athletes to swim their fastest. 

Beginnerman:  See! i said that too!!!! too bad my wife does not agree.I also think the quote at the bottom of my tag makes alot of sense......
I told her to get extra "gator-off" from the store on Saturday

It used to be when you were under 21 in the States, you couldn't rent a car ... so if I needed one I would rent a U-Haul truck banging around in that big thing!

mchally - 2009-01-02 6:57 PM I use to give them to the little kids I lived with-if there is a name I cut them up.   Lets see...in the last hour and a half I have acquired an american express with air miles, an American express preferred gold card, an american express blue card, a Washington Mutual Credit card, an Alaska airlines platinum plus card, and three others as well.  I am still not to the bottom of the bag yet, I wonder if I will find more?

Cool-latest discovery...

his packet of papers from the grand coulee IM in 2007.  It has all the confirmation info for the tri, hotel, and rental car, a bunch of notes to himself, printouts with nutrition plans and stuff like that.

And that is the end of the bag!  Whoo hoo.  I am going to get ready for bed!
