Master ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() jacsuza - 2008-02-27 9:20 PM Ok, a question for the ladies of the group: What do you wear on race day? Specifically, I need to figure out how to keep the "girls" from jiggling during the bike and run. (I HATE jiggling -- I'm about a c-cup.) Do you wear the support bra under the swimsuit or tri top or whatever? Do you swim in the tri top? I'm guessing that you really can't add the support bra after the race is started. What are my options? Thanks alot -- I'm probably going shopping on Saturday if needs be. There's a tri-fest in town with a big expo and I may be able to get a deal there. If I had "girls" I could help you
AMY!!!! WAY TO GO. I'm so proud of you that tomorrow I will try my best not to whine about the "cold" snap we're having...After 2 hours under my covers in all my clothes, I am finally warm. I am a total cold weather wimp. Just wondering, when you got to 2300, did you feel like quitting but didn't 'cause you know everyone would be watching ??? |
![]() ![]() |
Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Sadly, my "girls" do not necessitate any kind of extra support either. If only..... Did I feel like quitting? No. I was just certain that I would not be able to get it done before the boys were done with swimming lessons.....so I just kept going and going... but I will say if I did not owe that challenge 2400 more yards, I would certainly only have done 2000, and would consequently would only have done 900 as continuous swim. AND OF COURSE knowing everyone is watching makes alllllllll the difference!!

I'd love to know how to do it too.and where does everyone get those cute smileys with sunglasses on????? these are the only ones I know how to do If you figure out how to flatten the tummy, I'll tell you
But seriously, in the control panel, under the rich text edit box I have the "TinyMCE Editor" option selected. That gives me the "Word style" tool bars along with a little emoticon button. |

Fantastic!! So are you doing the Peeps bike challenge next month or is it too treacherous up in ski country - east. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() test About the flat tummy. I find a one piece does the trick. My lovely 8 year old was three weeks late. Yes, three weeks. She ruined any chance for a truly flat belly Course, there is no shortage of doctors down here that would fix that, and give me "girls" |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() What did the fellow Pee-ple pledge for the bike challenge? I'm going for 16 hours......I wish tonight counted since I'm now off to put in 97 minutes. (not 95, not 100 ![]() |
![]() ![]() |
Master ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() you should be about finished and on your way home from your 97 minute bike ![]() ![]() |
![]() ![]() |
Master ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Almost forgot...timing at JO's tonight...they had the 1000 and 500 events - we were timing on the girl's pool, lane 7, so the "slower" lane. So, after thinking I was all that for doing a 16:58 on my latest 1000m time trial, I watched the "slow" girls pulling 10:30's!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For 1,000. It was ONLY a 25 yard pool We also timed the 800 free relay and their splits were around 1:55-2:00 for a 200. Makes me feel slow...and old!! |

As for the PEEPS, I am targeting 18 hrs 45 min, why didn't I just round up, I don't know, that is just what my numbers added up to. |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Just put my name in the lottery for the NYC Mary. BRING IT, BABY! I really want to run it for Fred's Team (the charity for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Pediatric Cancers) - that's my goal. But I have to be accepted for both! The race entry is just pure lottery luck. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Good luck Amy, on both counts! Tomorrow is a new month!!! I am looking forward to laying down some mileage/meterage |

As for March. Bike 18:45 Run 13:30 with a possible high target of 15:00 (after I just revisited the runners world website) Strength 4:30 Swim still 3 months away. |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I'll probably be starting over from square one. Maybe that's not a bad thing. When I golfed, it was always easiest to change my swing in the spring after the long winters break.

![]() ![]() |
Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I'm on the Seriously Spooky Cats (aka the newbie team) for 7 1/2 hours. Should be able to do this challenge, no sweat! |
![]() ![]() |
Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I'm looking at the pool schedule, realizing that it's closed every weekend after this weekend for the rest of the month, and thinking about how I'm going to have to increase the biking and running to make up for that....I may decide to up my Peeps Challenge Distance.....or if the weather gets suddenly and freakishly nice out (okay, I'm an optimist, it NEVER does that in March, but MAYBE with global warming...) I will run outside more! With the amount of sand they throw down on these roads all winter, I am a long way off from bringing the bike outside until they clean up the sand. It's a total recie for disaster. |

This weekend I shop for aero bars and bike shoes-- what advice can anyone give me? Find what is comfortable and allows flexibility as you progress (I am kind of assuming you are doing this for your road bike). In that vein, I have been very happy with my Profile Design Aerolite's. This morning we had a prayer breakfast at church. Then at noon, I went out for a 2:20 ride. Having a very slow transition (about 30-40 minutes as I waited for BJ to finish up some home work) then heading out for a short run. Going to try and have BJ ride her bike with me. |

Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() aquinn - 2008-03-01 10:34 AM Everybody must be......training? Spring cleaning? Sleeping??? Cleaning and shopping and a little training. I solved the wardrobe issue: tri top and shorts and a new supportive undergarment. Only drawback is the shorts make me look slightly pregnant. "Sigh". The training has helped the tummy when it comes to most regular clothes, but certain styles still show a bump. "Sigh, again". I guess that I'm stuck with it, especially since I'm not game for surgical solutions. Edited by jacsuza 2008-03-01 9:53 PM |
