When race directors know their course is off by XX yards, they need to inform the participants.
That's a good point. They could at least run a ski-doo with a Garmin around the course before or after the race and then list the actual swim distance on the race results web page. Same with the Bike and Run, they could map them on software like BT's Route Tracker and report the actual distances with the results. That would be very easy for them to do. |
