I bought my hubby a Omega Vert for CHristmas and then we saw the Vitamix at Costco. Juicer was a surprise so I talked him into waiting. After Christmas, the cleanup of the Vert was tunring into a pain. Bought the Vitamix $379! We did a side by side test between the two on the same juice. Needless to say we took the Vert back. Im not crazy about at the pulp from the Blender all the time so I bought a paint straining bag and then stain the juice. We love the Vitamix!!

Also have a hand immersion blender that we use for everything, I think I paid 20 bucks for it at Canadian Tire. Just through all smoothy items into a 1l glass measuring cup. Also great for pureeing soups right in the pot after you cook them... never had an issue, been using it for 2-3 years.

We have a blender, but I find it overkill for the job, and a pain to clean.
