I did the same thing today!!!

I went out with my son last year to get him a TV and it wasn't fun.  The parking and lines were a nightmare and we never got in anywhere.  I told him I'd pay the difference for us to just go the next day.  He was all for it.  lol  I think it was seriously like $10 more the next day.

This year was a little odd.  The same son (our 18 year old) went out with some friends and went to one mall (Westroads) and there was a supposed shooting where they scrambled out of the mall.  They went to another mall (Oakview) and 45 minutes later there was another supposed shooting that sent everyone scrambling.  He called me at 3:00 to tell me he was ok and asked if he could come get my gun for protection.  I told him he needed to take a hint.

Turns out that neither was a shooting, but they both made national news:
