Volunteer - Pay It Forward (Page 2)

Not exactly typical "race volunteering" but today I picked up and passed out Boston commerative ribbons for our race this weekend.  Will make more over the next two days and get to the race early on Saturday to give out more ribbons.  Small gesture but it's seems to be helping others.  One lady almost mugged me for a ribbon and said that she needed it because she had been in Boston.  She teared up, I teared up.  I hugged her and told her how glad I was that we had her here today.

Quick post to close out this thread. My goal was 20 hours of race volunteering and I met it. Secondary goal was blood donation 4x but after 2nd blood donation, found that I had low hemoglobin and could no longer give blood. :-( Next year, I'll continue to volunteer and hope others will also. Races can't move forward without the volunteers so remember to help whenever you can.
