Subject: RE: Stupid Question #524 - Louisville 2009?I'll just throw out my .02 (which, when compared to some other people, may actually only be .01 ). I am new to triathlon as well (last year was my first year doing tri's of any sort. I did a couple of sprints, a duathlon, several 5K/!0K/15k ). I am registered for IM Louisville. Basically I went out, did some research, put together a training schedule, then had a coach put together a training schedule for me (which was a little pricey ), got hooked up with some great people who can help me with my cycling, and now I'm balls to the wall! I would say that if you are the type of person who can commit yourself to something, then you may as well give it a go! Sure, you (or I ) may not finish fast but we CAN finish. This website has been great for me in terms of info and motivation! There is a lot of time between now and August 30...if it were me I would say go for it! Heck, give it some of that good 'ol MI "can do attitude!" |
