I apologize if my sob story at the kiddie snowboard park has caused nervousness among BT'ers. I mean, I haven't done any wintersports until couple weeks ago. itri2, I think you will be fine after an hour or so of refresher course and you will be good to go. Do update me/us on your snowboard outting next month!

I was a skier for 8 years before switching to snowboarding. It definitely wasn't as easy learning to snowboard as it was to learn to ski, although when you are 8 years old falling doesnt seem to hurt as much. Practice practice practice! I just came home from a few days of snowboarding at Copper Mountain in CO and it was exhilirating riding on 9 feet of snow at 12,000 feet above sea level! Makes coming home to my local mountain in CT kind of hard
Don't lose your confidence, keep at it!
