Subject: RE: Purchasing a Treadmill - Advice Please
Hello I saw a few comments about the NordicTrack 1750, and I'd have to agree! My 1750 has been great and lasted me almost 3 years now and I run about 3 times a week on it. I'm glad I got a commercial model and did some homework. I had my eye on a cheaper model of a Horizon machine, but the specs didn't do it for me. I think this review sums up the 1750 well: https://www.treadmillreviews.com/nordictrack-commercial-1750-treadmi...

And it looks like the 1750 is on sale right now! https://www.nordictrack.com/treadmills/commercial-1750-treadmill- It's a great machine.

Best of luck! With whatever you purchase, just make sure you are comparing legitimate reviews and basing your choice off the specifications you personally need. Everyone is different, but the 1750 has worked great for me!

I do like the Norditrack band, however I will personally prefer Proform and sole treadmills. Thare are durable and proform is inexpensive too. Like I own this treadmill model 505 CST reviewed here: https://www.10machines.com/proform-505-cst-treadmill-review/

And, if you want to check out the features, here's the official site: https://www.proform.com/treadmills/505cst

The treadmill does an excellent job and gave me no problems so far. I've been using it for 2 years now and just do periodic maintainence. And yes, it does come with iFit compatibility (the real deal). A feature that's normally found in expensive models but 505 has that feature.

Look on Craigslist. I'd bet at least 3/4 of the treadmills purchased get used for a few weeks, then sit in the basement collecting dust (and coats...and boxes).

Lots of great treadmills sell for $50, $100, or $200...I've even seen a few for free. I paid $75 for mine and it's lasted me through one winter...I expect it'll last at LEAST one more.
My all-time greatest craigslist buy was finding a Precor 956i treadmill for $300. It was non-operational, but I figured I would take the chance given my moderate technical troubleshooting skills and my possession of an electrical test meter. Precor tech support was a great help along with detailed troubleshooting manuals. After a $250 part I now have a perfectly functioning professional gym treadmill that originally cost $8K new. I am in my 60s and this piece of equipment should last me the rest of my life. A heavy sucker it is, but it resides in my pain cave with my spin bike and weight equipment. It's not going anywhere.

Well I said that I was not going to do it this season, but I cracked. I broke down and bought a new bike. I went out and bought a shiny new Cannondale road bike.
