^^^^ yah... that is one heck of a difference! Are you sure you were looking at a map of the correct state?

Ok... I checked your logs and didn't see anything. How did it go? And if you started to hyperventilate walking to the start, in water that warm, I am really glad the water didn't turn out to be 54 degrees. That would have been one hell of a shock to the system when you jumped in.

Well it was really 70 but they said 76 when we picked up out packets but where its 70 degrees when we got in. It has made me rethink my 10k swim goal for next year since the 2 10k swim races I found tend to be in mid 60s and I am not sure if I can handle 4 hours in that water. Today I felt like my arms were barely moving plus it took me about 2:30 to finish the race. Last year I was at 2:10 with a wetsuit.

I do understand one of the races wanting you to prove you can handle the cold since I think my local pool is cold at 80 degrees. This coming from a pretty fat guy who hopes to be think by next summer.

Glad that you made it through.  I get so bored on a one hours swim I can't imagine doing a 5 or even 10k swim.  Congrats.
