One of my main hesitations is the fact that I don't think a finger tattoo is going to hold up very well.

My wife has a tattoo on one of her toes, it looks like a smudge 7 years later. Hard to tell what it is supposed to be. 

I know a foot is going to sweat more than a hand, but I could see a finger tat going bad over time. 

Exactly. I think it would fade badly over time. You constantly wash your hands and they are exposed to the sun all the time. Cool idea though.

This is a great idea!  I did that when I thought of getting a ring tattoo ... like 11 years into my marriage.  After doing a few designs with the sharpie (or pen) I didn't really like the way it looked as much as I thought I would.  My marriage went kablammo after 20 years .. but if I had had it done I would have just had it removed it!  No biggie!

 

 

You are HARDCORE - get ring tattoo; marriage ends; get finger removed! Seriously awesome!

nothing against the idea....I think it could be pretty cool.  I just look at it as if I have to take my wedding ring off because of trainining I am going to take it off.  Don't need a ring to be married, plus if you are training why would you worry about it, shouldn't you be focused on the training?
