Toss up between Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning, but I lean toward RtL.  Bought both at the same time and wore both cassettes out in near record time back in '89. Black album was the last one that I really liked... nothing after it has been the same.

As for GnR - I've got a bit of an oddity.  Most people have heard of Use Your Illusion I & II, but I actually have a Use Your Illusion III cassette at home.  I have all three, still in their original shrink wrapping.  Bought them at a market in Bahrain in '93.

As a GNR-phile, I must know, what does this look like?  Does it have a song list on the side?  Just curious.

Song list is as follows:

Side 1

1. Pretty Tied Up

2. Locomotive

3. You Could be Mine

4. Nightrain

Side 2

1. Estranged

2. Don't Cry

3. My World

4. Paradise City

ETA - Apparently at some point I removed the shrink wrap from UYI III, but I'm pretty certain that I've never played it. I can't even recall the last time I owned a cassette player.

In my best Wayne's World-form, "I'm not worthy!  I'm not worthy!" as I bow to you sir!  That's awesome!!!

LOL!

I've always wondered about it... like, is it just a pirated I & II, but they couldn't fit all the songs on two cassette's so they fudged a III, or what?  I don't know.  When I saw it in the market, however, I *knew* there was "no such thing", so I bought it without asking right away.

My favorite "album" is Live Sh*t: Binge & Purge. Listened to that stuff on repeat for a looooong time! Made me appreciate the older stuff, because I was raised on the Black Album. Just love the Justice Medley!

It sounds like a nicely packaged pirated assortment. (love the funky green color)

The fact it has 3 UYI 2 songs and 1 Appetite song per side leads me to believe it's definitely not an official release.  That said, with the exception of My World, that's one awesome set-list!

On a side note....

I was searching for some tunes and there is this song I was trying to find. It is from a band that sounds like Offspring... So I was trying to find bands that sound like Offspring.... anyhoo, I come across this site that list a bunch of bands that sound like other bands... For Offspring they list a bunch of punk groups like Pennywise and what not.... and then... METALICA.. With a "Strong Similarity".

Uhhhh..... Mmmmm... OoooKay. Undecided
