Pantanella's Pancake Triathlon : Official Thread (Page 2)

Did anyone get sick after the triathalon? I was dying in bed yesterday with a fever, cold sweats, headaches etc. My boss who was in the tri as well got the same thing. I was wondering if it was from swallowing too much Staten Island Water.

I had a headache after the race, but I often get headaches when running and it went away later Saturday evening.  Other than that, I have been fine.  Sorry to hear you're under the weather!!

No illness post race for me.  Although I ate so much after I finished could barely move

No illness here either. I had a good race. I actually thought the water was great. It was certainly clearer than the Hudson...I was actually able to see my entire hand thru the stroke. In the Hudson, you might as well close your eyes and rest your lids : )

I was also fine after the race despite drinking the water and eating the pancakes.

Hmmm thanks all I guess it must have been something going around work then.

Feel better...blame your boss, take some time off : )

BTW... www.uscandids.com should be posting raceday photos. Although someone at the race said they'd be up on Monday, they posted a message stating Wednesday afternoon...I'm still holding my breath.

I enjoyed that race, except for the bike course which was pretty boring not to mention an awful surface to ride on. They should change it up next year. Also I thinks its grossly unfair to subject all those NYPD officers to the tempting smell of pancakes
poor guys, no wonder they opened the road up early and scooted off to Dunkin..
