Keep us posted on how it went and good luck!
I'm a firm believer in flirting and being sociable - even if something doesn't "pan out" just think of it as great practice. Smoothies or coffee nearby the gym = great suggestion, and not too forward.

If the gym is off limits and work is off limits, what is on limits?

Just ask, don't get worked up about it. Nothing bad can happen. And while you're at it, start asking every girl you find moderately attractive at the slightest provocation. It's all a numbers game, eventually you will meet the person you want to spend a lot of time with.

I agree with Opus...the shotgun approach definitely works because eventually someone will say yes.

Anyway, to update all of you that gave great advice, I asked her out last night and then spent the night at her place. Thanks you guys!

Ok, just kidding, but I did save a bunch of money on car insurance...actually, we're going for coffee on Sunday. Talk about relief!

Coffee on Sunday! Now, you should have said, "You know, I make the best coffee around. Why do you come over and I'll make you a cup?". This you say while leering suggestively. Works every time.

I think you should use Eddie Izzard's line, "I like my women like I like my coffee. Hot and strong... with a spoon in them!"

Loved this movie dialogue (Brassed Off - I think):

Girl: Would you like to come up for coffee?

Boy: I don't drink coffee.

Girl: I haven't got any.

VERY TRUE.... you should know that guvna2030 living in vegas.... it is always a numbers game....

I go to the gym and yeah there are a lot of beautiful women there... however, I think that yeah women might find it not necessarily creepy, but more slimey to have a guy asking them out.... then like you all said, you will be the slimey/creepy guy at the gym who gauwks at them....

I have kinda avoided thinking too much about asking a girl out there.... as for the sweaty thing... well vigourous exercise releases endorphines that make people be more sexually aroused.... so it wouldn't be too bad asking a girl there.

Anyhow, good for you guvna2030, hopefully it works out for you and you guys can hit it off, but at the very least you are not the creepy/slimey guy at the gym, haha
