Master  2278    State of Confusion |  Subject: RE: YOU know your getting OLD when....The music I listened to in high school is now considered "retro." WTF??? My MOMS music is retro. One of the local radio stations does a "Retro Ride Home" for Friday commuters and it's mostly 80s music with some 70s disco mixed in. |

Someone spots the 8-Track tape player (With Janice Joplin Tape In It) in my 1971 Westfalia Camper Bus and has no clue what the darn thing is  It is even funnier to see the expression on their faces when Janice Sings "Summertime" or better, "Ball and Chain" on said tape. (Complete with pause in the middle of Ball and Chain for the player to switch tracks) The final straw is when you have to explain to them why an 8-Track tape only has 4 tracks on it. (8-Track Tapes are in Stereo and use 2 tape tracks for each recording) Never mind that they are riding around in a 36 year old car |
