If you know you have no chance whatsoever of finishing, why show up? Just stay home and go for an easy bike ride or swim and start thinking about your race in June. My friends sometimes will ask me "If you have no chance in winning the race, why do it?" Why do any of us BOBers race? Participation, experience, to be part of a sport, exercise, fellowship.... So you do a triathlon as a duathon? So what? Have fun and gain some experience. I'm assuming you already paid your non-refundable race fee anyway? ~Mike |
