Tuesdays actuals: 1916 calories Protein 28.45% Carb 48.89% Fat 22.66%    Missed my mark!
Feeling sluggish Tuesday so I had extra  calories. Its like force feeding.   Feeling a little better today but I am taking the day off from training and will be ready to hit those hills tomorrow!
Found  thedailyplate.com  really helps in figuring out percentages.

I'm so glad you found one you like! I hear you on the force feeding, I missed my first snack yesterday, I just could not make myself eat another thing. I had the protein shake after my workout instead, but did not make up for the fat. It shows in my percentages:
Calories: 2011 fat: 18.03%, Carbs: 52.27%, Protein: 29.7%
I'm doing ok on the protein but still struggling with the fat. Today my avocado was bad, so I imagine I will miss that mark again today. I am planning to bring in some almonds tomorrow in case of bad avocados I am also sick of my protein shake, I am going to have to find another flavor to mix it up!

I got closer to my calorie goal for yesterday 1766 but my percentages were way off.
Carb 49% Pro 29%  Fat 21%.  I need less carbs and more fat!   I will have try that almond trick, erin. On the other hand I feel great today. Went out this chilly AM (30 degrees) before work and road hills for 30 minutes.   Got my body fat done last night. Unfortunately, the trainer was booked solid so she wasn't able to calculate on the spot so I am waiting  for her email.   OOOOOh the suspense is killing me!

I'm struggling with the fat too! Bummer she couldn't calculate it right there, I bet you are on edge!

I know I shouldn't, but I pretty much skipped lunch. I had just my salad with some almonds on it (I normally have a sandwhich too), but I felt so much better. I think next week I'm adjusting to 1800 calories because I really felt better there.

Goal: 2000-2200 calories / day, ~50% carbs, ~25% fat, ~25% protein
Thursday: 1863 calories Carbs: 46.12% Fat: 25.39% Protein: 28.49%
First good day, very close to all my ratios!

I bought some new protein powder last night. I really like mine, but I'm getting sick of drinking the same flavor all the time. I'm not sure if I like the new one, I'm going to give it a few days to grow on me.

Good job on your ratios!!!  I am still adjusting to the 1800.  I am either eating too much or too little.  I like to mix the protein shakes up too.  Right now I am stuck on strawberry.  I've been mixing different kinds of fruit in with it to change up the flavor  a little.  Vanilla is always good for that.

I have been adding in extra carbs because of my heavy training.  I have been paranoid not to have enough "fuel" for the next days training.   However I had to make the tough decision today to pull out of the cyclocross race in 3 weeks.  So my training can get back to normal and maybe I can get those carbs back down to 40%.     Body fat  22% .  I got my work cut out.

Awesome job!!! Bummer about the race though. My Saturday is a bit of a guess, I had some of my mom's home made food so I had to guess the ingredients. Not bad on the calories considering I had 2 brownies (they were too good to have just 1!). My carbs were high though, the weekend is always the hardest.

Friday: Cal:1730 fat: 24.71% Carbs: 51.82%, Protein23.47%

Sunday:Cal: 1912 fat: 22.49%, Carbs: 59.78%, Protein: 17.73%

Friday was good, especially being I ate out at a sub shop. Low overall on calories, but I was so scared about eating out.
Saturday was bad bad bad. That's the brownie day and my protein shows it!
Sunday was not good either. I need to track as I go, and on weekends I'm away from my computer so I slack.

I'm heading out of town this week, so this is going to get difficult! I spent a lot of time at the store buying bars to bring with me. I also bagged up lots of protein powder to carry. The worst will be meals, lunch and dinner out each day is going to get tricky!

When I ate out as a bodybuilder, I asked the restaurant to put everything on the side so I could be in control.    I would also ask them how many ounces is this or that?  Good job on bagging the protein powder and bars. Good luck...I'll be rooting for you.

Well it seems its confession time.  It is that time of the month and I couldn't help myself.  I didn't even bother counting today cuz I know I am way off.  Had a slice of cake, a few chips, buttered popcorn.... and the night's not done yet!

This is harderr than I thought it would be!  Tonight even though I am bad...I am cooking my veggies in anticipation of tomorrow being another day.

And that's what counts! We can't be perfect all the time (although I beat myself up when I'm not!). Thanks for the tips on eating out! I actually did that yesterday, though not the weighing portion. Just got my salad without all the greasy toppings and the dressing on the side.

Yesterday was off, and I'm not so sure why. I had a slice of pizza for dinner, but the numbers were off long before that. I think it was my lunch, the soup I had to guess a bit on and the salad was really nothing but almonds on lettuce. I came back and had a hard boiled egg, I usually only eat the whites so that added to the fat content some too.

I messed up for Thursday.  I didn't get to log yesterday and by the time I sat down to log today, I couldn't remember all that I had eaten.  I can only remember 1200 calories and I know that ain't right.

WooHoo!  Hit my percentages pretty good!  135 over in calories.  It was the soy vanilla chai that did it!  But damn it was good! It seems like I am back on track.  Don't know what happened last week!  At least my training volume had come down as well so I never hit the wall.

Great job keeping track! I'm back from vacation now and getting back to tracking today. I tracked the first few days, then it just got out of control and with the marathon I went a bit carb-happy. I'm 2 pounds up, so that's motivation to get back on top of things!

It got lonely around here without you.  Glad your back.   How did you do in the marathon?  Now that I have found a way to track online, I can't go back to the old steno pad, pencil and calculator.  So I guess I will have to buy a laptop.

The marathon was super fun. It was my worst time-wise yet, but I ran the entire thing with my husband and dad and we had a blast, so it was worth slowing down for. The benefit of slowing down was that I wasn't even sore afterwards so that was very exciting! It's also the first time I actually nailed my nutrition. Against everything i wanted to do, I followed my nutritionist's advise and got up 4 hours before the race and had a full breakfast. Then I stuck to a gu every 4 miles schedule (I never gu that much!) and had a handful of pretzels throughout. I felt fabulous - I never got tired, hungry or saw double. No cramping, etc. So, it was all in all a great learning experience and a wonderful time.

2000-2200 calories / day, ~50% carbs, ~25% fat, ~25% protein.
Wednesdays Actuals: Calories: 2038, carbs: 45.64%, fat: 26.4%, protein: 27.97%

This might have been the closest I've come yet!

Congrats on nailing your nutrition for the race!  I know how hard that is.  You will take the info your learned with you into the next race.  I am learning so much about percentages and how many calories it actually takes to fuel me to my next workout.  I am really happy we are doing this.

Thanks! I am so excited, I love the longer races, but always struggle nutritionally, so hopefully I can get that nailed down. I'm glad we are both getting something out of this!

Goal:2000-2200 calories / day, ~50% carbs, ~25% fat, ~25% protein.
Thursday Actuals: Calories: 2140, carbs: 44.23%, fat: 27.52%, protein: 28.26%

I ate more avocado yesterday, so even with cutting half the olive oil out of my dinner, the fat was pretty high yesterday! I'm still struggling finding protein (I can't eat meat) so I'm eating a lot of egg whites, a boca patty each night and protein drinks during the day, but I'm really sick of the drinks, I have to find something else. I have been doing Greek yogurt (found it really cheap in DC) and that's an awesome protein source - 15g of protein and only 80 calories per serving! Plus it counts as a dairy - I like multi-tasking foods Unfortunately it is stupidly expensive here, it was on sale this week for $1.50 per serving! I wish we had a Trader Joe's or something nearby.
