What is the water temp at Wenona?  Too cold to swim in trunks?

shouldn't be too cold. There were loads of kids swimming there this weekend and if they could stand it so can you. I'd guess mid 70's.

What kind of wetsuit is it? I might have found it.

Will the swim happen today (Thurs June 11) with the questionable weather?  Will a decision be posted if it still on?

It is a women's sleeveless size medium. I believe the brand is 2xu.

It's pouring right now here in Wenonah. I'll wait until 3pm to see if it stops...I'd really like to get a swim in today so hopefully the gods will cooperate.

I'll post again at 3 with a final update.

For youths, is the USAT 1 day fee $5 like for races?  My son is a member but one of his friends might want to come and am wondering if they would need $10 or $5 for the 1 day membership.

Does anyone know if there is a swim tonight? I know its raining, but I'm not sure if they cancel it for heavy rain or just thunderstorms!  Thanks!

I figured I'd give advanced notice this week since the rain gods seem to have it out for us.

This weeks swim is CANCELLED!

It's pouring here right now and is supposed to continue until 2pm. After that we are looking at thunderstorms so I'll call it early this week.

Hopefully next week will bring better weather...we're certainly due for it!

Thanks for the quick update!  It gives me some time to figure out what training I can do later on that DOESN'T involve getting drenched/electrocuted.  eh...

It's still raining here in Wenonah and even though it looks like it'll stop, they (weather.com) are calling for more rain right at the time we start. When I originally called it they were also calling for thunderstorms in Wenonah but it looks like that has passed. The other thing is that, with all of this rain, it can make the water quality suffer. The lake gets tested each week by the town but we don't see results until tomorrow. With this much rain, for this many days I think the best course is to wait until next week.

You're right.  Since I made the post they downgraded for 6pm.  This weather has been tough to say the least.

We're on for this week's swim unless the weather throws us a curveball (looks good right now).

I'm hoping to attend the open swim tomorrow but am having trouble finding information about it. Does it cost money? What time is it at? Is there a website where I can find this information?

Any info would be appreciated, thanks!
