Subject: RE: TEAM 1Yeah, no eating after 9pm is a good one. My rule is actually no eating after 7pm. I heard that if you are hitting a plateau (which I have been for the last few weeks ) you should not eat for 4hrs prior to going to bed. I have found that really works but it is really tough for me. So I'll report on that daily and you guys can hold me accountable to that.
My caloric goal is to net 1000-1100 calories meaning if I burn 600 calories then I want to eat 1600-1700 calories. I find the net caloric intake is a better tool when working out as much as we do. So on my off days I try to only eat 1200 calories and then maybe take a short walk with my son. Not sure if you guys have ever used Sparkpeople.com but it is a great website for tracking calories eaten and burned to get that net caloric intake figured out.
I had a great day Sunday and yesterday - no eating after 7pm and good caloric intake with hardly any bad calories. But I'm not doing so good today. My internet is still having problems so I had to go out and find a hotspot so I could work. I'm really gonna have to work out today to make up for the hotspot being at Panera. I feel guilty using someone's internet access without buying their food
So no more food for me today except water, veggies, and fruit. Guess I'll be doing the eat like a queen for breakfast, and like a pauper for the rest of the day rule today.
So what is everyone's workout plan. I was trying to do the 3x balanced but as a full-time working mom I just can't get in 9 workouts a week. So I've switched to the 16 week 2x balanced plan.
Mon-off
Tues-swim
Wed - off
Thurs - bike
Fri- run
Sat - swim/bike
Sun - run
My off days are probably too close together but those are the days I have to go in to the office to work and I can't see taking my kid to the gym daycare after being in daycare all day and I treat myself to lunch with my work friends on those days so I can't workout at lunch like I do every other day. So anyway, it isn't perfect but I did this plan last spring and it worked really well for me. I like doing my bricks on Saturdays.
I did just cut my hair really short. I don't know why but for me having short hair makes getting my workouts in easier because I'm not always worried about my hair. It's a girl thing- I know
