OK Okras, it's September 1...time to hit the bricks!

I'll probably run tomorrow and maybe Thursday/Friday/Saturday, but these will depend on how the camping goes.

OK, I'm a last minute addition. Donskiman - Don. I'm 52. Started running at 45, triathlon shortly thereafter. This year I've focused on running and have taken it to a new level. Had a BQ marathon in May and 13 PRs so far this year. Now that my son is back in school I plan to ramp up my running again as I build toward Boston next year. I think I've only had okra in gumbo and it's good there.

Started off the month today with a half marathon. This was a B race.

I'll be doing a sprint duathlon next weekend and other races evey weekend this month ranging from a 5K to a 15 mile trail race.

Looking forward to our team all making their goals and kicking butt!

Welcome new team members!

Sesh...could you possibly make us a new table adding don little and donskiman to the roster? Despite being completely overeducated I still am a bit of a dummy when it comes to figuring out how to do the code and whatnot.

I'll be getting my first run of the month in later today. Let's kick some challenge butt!

I'mmmmmmm Baaaaaaaack!

Might get to do some tornado jumping today.  Or wimp out and hit the treadmill.

Welcome new team mates, and yeah, I'll get a new table up when I get a chance.

Got my first run in this morning (3.75 miles).  I'll be off-line this weekend (Thursday--Sunday), so if things appear quiet, don't be alarmed.

I will cover 2 miles today.  You might call it a run, but it will look more like a lame duck walking to a pond.  But it will be two miles.

Welcome Don.

After not being able to drag my dead a$$ out of bed this morning, I finally got my 5.2 miles in at lunchtime.  Trying to get it geared up. 5 more tomorrow.

Thanks for the welcome.

I got in 8.18 miles as a recovery run from the race yesterday. I find a nice easy run helps me in the recovery process. Gets the blood flowing and warms me up so I can get in some good stretching after the run.

4.1 in the remnants of Gustav today.  I love running in the rain, and not only for the funny looks I get.

Looks like the okras are off to a good start!  Keep it up!

Hey Guys,
Sorry it took so long for me to post this. I feel like I have been on vacation for the whole month of August. I just got back from Virginia Beach I was doing the rock-n-roll half marathon. The week prior to that we were up in New Hampshire for the Timberman half ironman. That was a really cool experience. I was part of a relay team where I was the rider.
Thanks for having me on the Okras.

I'M A SLACKER.

Life happened last night and I didn't get the run in....

Okay Okra's - you need to whip me, prod me, and humiliate me.  I respond well to Drill Seargent type of motivation.

I'm bracing myself....

Life happens to all of us every day. Deal with it. If running at night is a problem, then find another time. Geez, with your goal you only have to find about 15-20 minutes a day to complete it. Or you can do nothing until the very end and run all your miles in one day - but that's guaranteed to hurt!

We are here to kick some butt. You need to do your part. Don't let us all down.

I got in 9.88 today. Normally the route I took is slightly over 10, but there was a detour due to some construction that shortened it.

If you've got time to post, you've got time to run. Get out there! Don't post again until you've done your run.

Got in a 5k this morning.  Starting to get back in the groove after bachelors party weekend.  It was anti-training.

Anybody else think that it looks like our mascot just had an uncontrollable case of the runners trots?

Or is that just me?

Ewwww. Now I see it...thanks for that fun image.

Got my run in this morning despite staying up way too late last night. Can't guarantee I'll stay awake during neuro class this afternoon, but that's the sacrifice I'm willing to make for the team.

Get out and run!
