If your looking into hotels most of them sell all their rooms to Okanagon Reservations so you have to call them. They rent the majority of the hotels in the city during ironman week. 1-800-663-1900 (mon to fri, 9-5). They have a website but you can't book through it.

done Daryl. I send you 3 of them. I'm also getting lots of calls with folks wanted to rent out for the Ironman. I never would have thought this little would generate so much interest. Kind of surprised. I got my place so anybody else having problems let me know.
