For me it will be a little easier than some of you. I am a fireman and work 24 hours and am off for 48. I will be able to work out at work as long as we don't have a busy day. Also my wife is a teacher as if off all summer. So she won't be at work all day. I hope to get in a morning workout, spend the day with the family, and then get in a night workout. Around our house I stay home during the school year on my days off while she goes to work. I do all the cleaning, cooking, and other things that need to get done. During the summer things are a little more balanced. we'll see though you just never know how it will go until you try.

From reading this thread, seems like no matter what the age of the kid, training can present a problem.  My daughter's 16 years old, and she still needs "Mommy."  Teenagers are good at finding what buttons to push, and if that button happens to be your guilt about being out of the house because of training, that's the one they go for.  At least in my experience.

writers2, in my opinion, this journey has not been without its sacrifices.  But I think my daughter actually whined more last year, and I "just" did sprints and an HIM.  I've wondered a couple times, though, if we're making a positive impression on them in the long run, with regard to exercise and healthy lifestyle choices.
